The forums here used to be busy mainly due to a core of regular posters who gradually migrated away. If a similar number of active posters made the effort who knows what might happen but I think most here nowprefer to do their chatting via the chatrooms.

 I was intrigued to see various comments on how busy the forums used to be and I truly believe that they can be once more. We are now starting to get a wee core of hardy individuals who can make a difference. The number of folk who have a quick browse on the forums to check out the topics and see who is sticking their head above the parapet will grow exponentially. As has been pointed out, the chat rooms are well used but can be very isolating when you wander in and say hi in the middle of a group chat or an obscure thread. Every part of this site has its place and is useful but it really should not be a case of if I use this part of the site then I don’t need that part.

Taking my mod hat off and replying as a site member I think the difference is that other sites let you participate in the forums without paying a subscription fee.   Here, many people are paying to use the site, and there are far more interesting/value-for-money aspects to indulge in than chatting in the forums.   
It also comes back to the current instant satisfaction culture.   Few people nowadays are willing to wait around for maybe hours or days to see a discussion progress, which is why the chat rooms are so much more popular. 

 hhhhhhmmm! Haruuuumph, gggrrrrrr! Sorry cubes but I don’t feel that the subscription angle is relevant. I subscribe to another site and although I actually prefer this one I see positives on the other site which I would love to see on here. The discussions on the other site are instantaneous, dynamic, witty, humorous, creative, often supportive, empathetic and sometimes downright crazy but almost always entertaining. I don’t understand why the forums on here do not get a response similar to the other site. I appreciate what you are saying about other aspects of the site but I am suggesting that it would only enhance SH......it is not a trade off surely?

I had not thought of me creating the headings, lol, I thought that they would be only within the grasp of the mods to do so. It would be interesting to hear what topics others would like to see. We have the all things sexual forum but what about, emotional advice especially through lockdown, meets....how to get them, how to behave, more importantly how not to behave, regional forums to allow people to connect, upgrade access to info on the dogging forum. The dreaded politics. Special interest video channels. Any topic which allows folk to connect gives them an insight into potential partners beyond the information that is displayed on a profile and offered in chat. 

It seems incredible to me that this forum seems to be so under used. I do realise that the chat rooms will be used by members for a lot but there are so many topics which could only be fully appreciated and discussed on a forum like this. The thread is perhaps too narrow and having a forum section with lots of topics might be better.

Now here’s a thing, Nancy published a book of male fantasies which was equally as good in its own way as the female editions but quite different in my view, in part perhaps due the differing emotional make up. I would happily have sat in front of Nancy and told her my fantasies.....in fact it was one of my fantasies to be in that position, lol!!!

the books gave the corespondents anonymity which would not be the case here but I am not averse to sharing fantasies privately lol!

I had all the Nancy Friday books until they were stolen by someone I trusted, lol, at least they had good taste! My Secret Garden was a rite of passage for me in understanding human sexuality and the fact that everyone has fantasies and desires. I tried to replace the books a few years ago but they seemed to be out of print. When I get the chance I will browse t’internet for second hand copies......hopefully without too many pages stuck together, lol!! 😳 

Books like these should be essential reading for anyone who is uncertain or suppresses or represses their sexuality or just likes to know that they are not alone in experiencing what can be very bizarre or extreme fantasies. 

Add Knots by RD Laing to the mix (deals with human relationships in a non sexual way) and you have a do it yourself wellbeing support system!!

Age really is an irrelevance, so many oldies behave and look much younger. It is wonderful that you are attracted to older guys and I suspect that you will be in great demand by my age group, lol!!

I guess that age is just another nail in the ⚰️ for guys on here but definitely not an exclusive reason for lack of meets. Body shape, beards, distance, social skills and most importantly, the interests of the ladies or couples that you are looking at......feel free to add to this list while waiting to hook up, lol!!

Jigsaws are the toys of the devil, never done one in my life! I have enjoyed playing poker and other card games and really enjoy quizzing but my main love is getting out in all weathers and walking in the wilderness, just me, my dog and deer and pine Marten and red squirrels and eagles and red kite and buzzards .....you get the idea, lol!

I had various office affairs whilst working in the civil service both reasonably long term and quickies. The most memorable one off was fucking a prudish sweet and very lovely girl at the Xmas party. We sneaked off to an office which she had a key for and we fucked on a desk. What we did not realise was that we had been spotted sneaking away, followed and watched by a bunch of colleagues. I had my letter about a month ago but at the moment the only places to book are at the minimum a 2hr bus journey away. I've been told that ignoring the letter triggers an invite from the gp to have it done in my home town so I'm patiently waiting for them to call! 

 So bizarre the difference in systems, we are sent letters and appointment times automatically. No hassle, no drama and 3 minutes from the house.

As most of the profiles on here are from the central belt and close to it you should be having lots of fun! Try playing down my way and you will discover what few and far between really means, lol!!
