people get cold feet, bottle it, have last minute nerves...
babysitters dont show up...relatives decide to visit unannounced....
I could list 100 reasons why people might not show up ....
then there's the 'get off on thinking/talking about it' type, who dont actually need the meet itself ....
I think sometimes its far too easy to brand someone a timewaster - and sometimes before doing so, it might be worth questioning yourself whythey've pulled out - maybe they've decided you're just not for them or something doesnt feel 100% right.... or maybe he/she/ they are simply having last minute cold feet - me personally, I'd rather someone pull out, than go ahead and meet me for the sake of it I'd also rather read that someone has been 'stood up' than have a post up here tomorrow about how someone went ahead with a meet they wern't 100% about because it was 'expected' of them and they didnt want to be branded a timewaster

This year I think I'm going for the Traditional & Tasteful look - when I can be arsed, I make my own decorations - ivy garlands etc I dont 'do' multi-coloured lights, they have to be white ones and I hate those tacky foil ceiling things *shudders* and we dont do anything outdoors because it gets nicked 
Question : how old were everyone's kids when they discovered Santa isnt real?
I think this year may well be our house's last for the whole 'believeing in Santa' thing, she's 7 now so I might go a bit overboard this time
in edit - i'm still not in the festive spirit, another trip to J28 for 'real snow fall at 6pm' is required I think - anyone local with small children, pm me, because it's fantastic for kids :thumbup:
