Hello Dlep kiss
Nice to be virtually reacquainted!

Indeed! kiss
I can barely remember my first Avatar. I may still have it somewhere (a picture of me semi-nekkid with colour remaining in my hair rolleyes )
In any case, it's both reassuring and weird being back again smile
As another who rarely visits this site, I can only echo what others have said sad My first encounter with him was at a Wakefield Munch ('05? '06? ). I did a double take as he was a spitting image for a certain time traveller ;)
Where ever you are Nelly, live it up smile
Put me down please, as it would seem that I am able to attend! :bounce:

Indeed it does, I'm using Win8 after having to use Vista for 6 years *spit*
Whitehorse, as Trevaunance has said, update your Flash drivers as the chat room uses them to work.
If I remember, I may poke my head around the door.
It's been a while.

I remember Educating Marmalade (the programme name, Marmalade Atkins was the main Characters full name)

I also remember Quattro and pacers lol

Anyone remember:

Also Stig of the Dump, Rockcliff's Babies?

The Chocky opening titles still make me go :scared: lol

I used to work for a company that did the sandwiches for Boots the Chemist.
Oh the stories I could tell lol

I always call mayonnaise spunk in a jar.
Go tell me they used to do that :lol2:
No lol
However, when I used to work for them (about 8 years ago or so now), the company used over 17 types of Mayo in 10 or 25kg tubs. Average weekly deliveries of mayo in kg alone was around 1400kg (and the site I worked on was a small one, there is another down south that was much bigger lol )
Only good thing about working at that company was the money, hated working there rolleyesevil

I'm 37 in August. However, a bloke in his 50's asked if I went to school with him!
As soon as I told him my age and that I'm not from that area originally, he told me I was a dead (an unfortunate choice of word! rolleyes ) ringer for someone he used to know!
I know the grey hair doesn't help, but I had a greying beard at the time. Needless to say I shaved it off as soon as I got home. It hasn't made me look much younger either.
And no remarks about Grecian 2000!
lol
If I'm working that night I'll be a little late, but I'll be going biggrin
I may be able to come to this. I'll be able to confirm closer to the time (Work rota won't get sorted for that Month until Jan at the earliest rolleyes )
I'd like to put myself down as a possible please, as I need to make sure I can have the time off.
I think a few people know who I am, not sure if they'll vouch for me though lol

We run a system called "Bradford Score", occasion x occasion x days off = your score, and 3 occasions or 125 points gets you a "counselling" session plus a level one on your record for 6 months, if you have time off in said 6 months you get a level 2 for 12 months, if you have time off in said 12 months you get a level 3, any more time off then its bye-bye you.
Harsh I know but the view is you have to tar everyone with the same brush, its stops most of the lead-swinging but also impacts people like yourself and me who don`t have time off unless its absolutely necessary.

This, where I work, although I haven't heard it called "Bradford score".

We are also working on video in chat for ipad etc although due to the way it works there may be a bit more of a lag due to the way it needs converting.

I take it that's because Apple stuff doesn't use Java(or similar)?

I think you'll find he's much cooler in his own films .... Zatoichi being one of my favourites ... Hana_bi is another stand out... he does give excellent gangster

True enough biggrin But I haven't (to my eternal shame) gotten around to seeing many of his films sad The two you've mentioned are included on my "to watch" list. I wanted to include Chow Yun Fat to the list, but the travesty that is Pirates 3 put paid to that (he did his best, but the role he played, or at least the way it was written, is cringeworthy to say the least  )
This guy:

"Beat" Takeshi Kitano worship
Especially in the film "Battle Royale" biggrin
I'd try to dress to the occasion. If it was a formal thing (regardless of whether I know the people attending/organising the event) then I'd dress appropriately. If it's an occasion where it's with people I know well, and just a get together, I would at least look presentable. I wouldn't come looking like a ratbag.

Oh god !! A comic printed within my lifetime is now so collectable it has sold for 1.1 million dollars !!!

Did anything make you feel old today ?

The fact that I have Cd's that are older than some of the people I work with rolleyes
Free, but I tend to lurk and infrequently at that (waits for Widey and Meaty to comment rolleyes )

Download and run CCleaner, be sure to get the "slim" version or uncheck the added toolbar option. I've used it for years, keeps my PC running like new.

Also, use (made by the same company)
Both should make an improvement on your computer smile

who let the gremlins out again???
personally i blame that RED message everytime we logged on......
i e 8 is awful......
will a system restore take it away?????

Is it like this

I dont get that I get similar but maybe its shown in a variety of ways in various browsers.
Funnily enough the first mention of this on wikipedia lists it as a fault message on an amiga. Hope they are not trying to run SH on an Amiga lol
They could do worse than using an Amiga. They were the best computers available for their time.... I only ever had one "Guru Med" on my A600, and that was only because I deliberately pushed the Amiga to it's limits to see how much I could get it to do at once lol
