I have a person on here that I consider as a friend, although we have never met, have been chatting here for around 2 years. I have not seen him in chat for a while but know he is ok as seen him around the forums.
But this morning I wanted to let him know I have missed seeing him in chat and wondered if I would look silly sending him a pm just to hint that I have.
I look at pm’s as personal but then thought hopefully it would be nice to know I have missed the old git.
Do you send pm’s wondering after if you look silly.
Or do you just send them away?
Do you like recieving a little message from someone knowing they have thought about you?

Funny you should mention this - I noticed a few names on the forum list, and as I hadn't been on the site for 2 or so years, I PM'd them to say hello and to ask how they are. They replied.
I have no problem in doing such a thing, as I consider them friends. I would be very happy if someone was to PM me in a similar way biggrin
Both - celebrate the fact the last year is nearly over and that the new one is just round the corner biggrin
lol (I like fudge too :D )
We have 4 freeview boxes in the house and none of them work - mainly because Coventry is crap for signals anyway. Unless you get an ariel that's over 20 feet tall and stick it on the top of your house, you've got no chance....rolleyes
So much for the Government/whoever is running the thing promising equal coverage in the UK eh?

theres no turning back the clock here as i really think the site is better in so many ways for the localized chat rooms and of course folk can choose to hang out in the beach bars and so on .. but for us i think the future lies at least in a little bit more getting out to the darker depths of the uk ..

I've been thinking about this a lot over the last month or so I've been back - I do miss a lot of people I've met from all corners of the UK. As a few may recall from the older days - I was a total Munch Whore (too much so - one of the reasons I had to step away from the scene)
Once I've sorted a few things out I intend to step out of the Midlands a lot more.....so beware
80 points!
.....For the year redface
:giggle:
It's a start at least lol

In extremis, we could always take the idea the Japanese film "Battle Royale" has - take a group of convicted people (in the film it was a random school class....) by force, stick them on an island with no chance of escape. Fit them with explosive harnesses and tell them this: The only way to escape alive.....is to get rid of everyone else....
Would make everyone else think twice about being a selfish, loutish piece of crap....

Fuck....and they accuse me of being outspoken. lol
I have my moments......

I can see the pattern Jiggle lol and although I don't have one at the moment, I've always wanted one.
Just need to save up the pennies for it

Now, being a child of the 80s, I loved Fame (the TV series) and was totally into the whole leg-warmers, performing arts school vibe. I sooooo wanted to be Coco! And, needless to say, my first love was Leroy. *swoons still*
They've remade the film (which wasn't as good as the TV series anyway) and it was just released. I will not be going to see it... I know I would be disappointed.
This leads me to my point: what classic films or TV shows do you think should be remade and what should remain sacrosanct?
I think a remake of the A Team could be fun cool

I was under the impression (and I could be wrong....), that the new film was a continuation of the first one (as in what happened next)
As for the A-team.....awesome idea, but which actors to replace the original four, short of Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Serenity) to play "Face", I haven't a clue to be honest dunno
Thanks to everyone making me feel welcome back in the Social scene. It was like I never left biggrin I am sorry I didn't stay around to say hi to everyone this morning as I had to get to work pretty sharpish rolleyes
I'm back....oh yes, I'm back!
:giggle:
or that bloody advert where you send an old mobile off in the post - bloody "actors" cheesy grin needs knocking off his face! mad

As a non-driver, I'm afraid I can't empathise with any of the driving-related incidents above.
Bad customer service however, oh my!
I abhor and loathe with a passion sales assistants who answer the phone whilst serving you at the till. mad
What is so difficult about a polite "Do you mind if I answer this as there appears to be noone else available?" and then to the customer on the phone "Do you mind holding until I locate a colleague who can help you as I am currently with a customer?" or some such dialogue?
Anyway, that's what you'd get from my staff... or they'd get a nasty Nola telling off!

And of course from the other side of the fence as it were, customers who instead of saying "Excuse me could you help me?" say "Oi, you! I want you to get this, I can't be arsed". Yes, that's happened more than a few times, usually with a lot of ****ing expletives too..... rolleyes

Hi all, I am having problems logging in to the chat room, i am running Vista and have had probs in the past but now I can get through the first screen and then just get a revolving flower, very frustrating, anyone got any ideas?
Red

Check your computer has the latest version of the Browser you are using (internet explorer should be version 8, Firefox Verion 3.5.2 - check by going to the help option at the top and select "about" )If it isn't again go to "Help" and select "check for updates"
Also check if you have the latest verion of Adobe flash (the program that chat uses to work)
Firefox version:

Internet explorer version:

You might have to reset your computer after the installation.
Also check that you haven't got Msn or messenger running at the same time - they tend to use a lot of computer memory (ideally your commputer should have over 1 gigabytes worth of memory....especially if it's running Vista rolleyes )
The only other things I can think of that could be causing problems is your firewall (a program to stop nasty programs and viruses infecting your computer) is set up wrong - I can't advise on that as I don't know which one you are using sad ) or if you are using a wireless connection, your computer is either too far away from the router (the transmitter) or that it needs resetting (switch off and then on again....)
Hope that helps biggrin

Can anyone please help When I go into the chat rooms, I get the box with the conversations, but up above it is boxes with camera 1, 2 and so on but they are blank, I gathered from some of the conversations that there are members on web cam that they can see. Have you got to be invited to view the web cam or is my chat not working properly. Sorry to sound thick but this is all new to me. x confused

Under "Live cams" on the right at the top you should see some names click on one and select which camera box you want to see it in and they should appear.
biggrin
As far as I know I should be able to make this biggrin
Put me on the list try :D
