Thanks for all of the replies.
I'm really not after a contract for her. In my opinion, at 11 she's too young, even for a contract in my name. With pay as you go when the money runs out she can't use the phone and so can't rack up any nice bills. We have friends and family so she can always call me or Lee for free when she has no credit.
I've heard lots of positive stories about HTC, but we took out a contract last year for our son. The woman in the shop was raving about the new HTC radar so we got him it. Its lovely looking but as a smartphone, it's shit! It's not android, it's a windows phone, there's hardly any apps for it and ever since he got it he's been counting down until he can upgrade and get an iPhone. (10 months to go). I know that most HTC phones are android but its kind of put me off them.
Hence the research this time!
Our daughter is after a new phone for Christmas and as I know that everyone has their ideas for their perfect phone so I thought you may be able to help.
She's too young for a contract so I'm after a PAYG one and obviously don't want to spend a fortune.
I have an iPhone and would have nothing else (I'm with toots on that one) but I'm not going to spend that much money when she will probably lose it or break it.
She currently has my old blackberry and hates it as much as I did so I think I'm looking for a decent, but not really expensive android phone.
On every Internet search the Samsung Galaxy Ace keeps coming up. Does anyone have one? If so, is it any good? Or do you recommend another?
Thanks for your help x
I wouldn't mind an acquaintance as long as he was also into the scene and therefore understood a bit if etiquette. What I mean is that an acquaintance who doesn't understand our lifestyle may not be quite as above board as someone with an understanding of what we do, and therefore make inappropriate advances without the knowledge of my hubby. I think this could prove dangerous for our relationship.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that body hair grows in cycles. So a new hair will grow for a certain period then fall out and be replaced by another new hair. We don't notice it as hairs around the one that has fell out are in different growth cycles and so we don't get bald patches. They only grow to that length as this is the length they get to before dying and falling out.
I have no idea why hair on the head and face is different?
We bought some e cig starter packs after a couple of our friends successfully gave up using them. Lee was ok with them but they gave me headaches.
The last time I gave up was for a couple of months. I used patches (16 hour ones which you take off at night so that they dot disturb your sleep) and an inhalator. The inhalator is awful to use (feels like pepper spray on the back of your throat) and made me cough like anything so I rarely used it but I always had it with me for the hand to mouth thing without the inhalation. That way I didn't put on the weight from putting food in my mouth instead. I really don't need to put more weight on!
You will find something that works for you. If you are determined enough you could do it on your own.
Good luck xx
Carsons magic shaving powder. More gentle than hair removal creams. Never had a burn and no ingrowing hairs. It's fab, just remember to trim the hair before applying as it doesn't work so well on long hair.
It works for me.
Mr Fun
We were on a meet and I didn't realise until I was giving it all my best moves (reverse cowgirl styley) that this guy, although otherwise naked, still had his socks on!
I tried to ignore it ...... nope! Couldn't do it!
I dismounted, removed his socks (while chuntering to myself) and started getting dressed. Hubby sensed my disapproval and stopped what he was doing.
We apologised and left.
Once you stop to remove socks, there's just no going back!! lol
I totally understand where you are coming from. I remember our first club visit. I refused to get out of the car for half an hour! I thought that everyone in there would be young and beautiful. Who would want me? I was very wrong!
I really wouldn't worry about having a curvy figure. You will see when you go to a club that there are people of all ages, shapes, sizes, colours and from varying backgrounds.
There is no 'typical' type of swinger!
Everyone has their preferences and curvy does not equal unattractive! There are lots of people who find curvy men/women very attractive, just as there are lots of people who find very thin men/women very attractive. Each to their own.
If you get turned down, don't be offended. You wouldn't play with someone you don't find attractive either. Also, don't automatically think that it is due to your figure, it could be your hair colour, your personality, it could even be that the female half of a couple doesn't want her man to play with someone more attractive than her! Whatever the reason, there's no point in dwelling and getting paranoid, just move on!
You'd be surprised at how different people's minds work.
If you are unsure, why not try a social event first?
My best experience has to be a party we held last year.
Although most people who came (to the party lol ) had never met before, everyone just got on really well and it ended up as a bit of an orgy. Lots of laughter, nakedness and everybody together enjoying each other. There was no "keep him/her away from me", "I ain't playing with that couple" like you usually get when a significant group of swingers get together ... It was such a relaxed and enjoyable evening ... it's what it's all about! It was made all the more special because two very special friends were here with us. I don't have to mention names, they know who they are.
My worst experience was our first ever house meet.
We both had the day off work, kids were at school so we decided to find a couple to come round to ours for some fun. When they turned up they were nothing like the pictures they'd sent, (we never seen any face pictures). Although we'd been playing in clubs for years we were very new to the whole 'meet via internet' thing. They were awful!! They'd made absolutely no effort. He had greasy hair and she turned up in a scruffy t-shirt and leggings and I've never heard anyone talk to much in my life!! Sooooo not our types! We didn't want to seem rude and turn them away so we decided to just go through with it.
Never again .... we learned a lot that day!!
(This couple were not from this site)

Reflex, its probably not what you're looking for but its bloody excellent :lol2:

Is that the 80's bar with the Waltzer seats?
I have tried champix and zyban ... I still smoke!
We went to a smoking cessation group and one woman on champix was depressed as hell! She sat there sobbing saying that she was having suicidal thoughts. The nurse heading the group said that depression can be a side effect of champix so if you are feeling a little down following your recent health scare, I would look at another route.
Zyban originated as an anti depressant. It was noted that people taking it for depression didnt want to smoke anymore and that's how it became an aid to stop smoking. It therefore has a much better effect on your mood.
I have tried to give up loads of times and like you have zero will power. Patches always worked better for me, but I usually fail after a few months, usually while socialising.
There are lots of options, it's all about what works for you as an individual. There is no magic cure!
Good luck x
You need to let your body heal.
I hate taking time off work and went back to work a week after having my appendix out about 7 years ago. Trying to live life normally led to internal bleeding and a massive blood clot within my abdominal muscles. I had to have more surgery to have the clot removed and had to stay off work for a couple of months.
If that's what can happen after a small surgery, imagine what not resting your heart could do! Take the time off!
Hope you feel better soon xx

Hope you all had a good time. Hope to see you all again soon
I'm with Toots. I have an iPhone and when my contract is due for upgrade, I will get another one!
I can still remember the phone number for Noel's multi coloured swap shop!

My mum and dad would never let me call it though :-(

I have to say that whenever we have been to xtasia we have always had a great night. We have only ever been to SH socials there though as its a fair way away and I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. The reason for this is simply because we have always been told that it just isn't busy enough on non-social nights. Also, when we have played there, the very few decent play areas are always full. I read that you have lockable rooms but I don't do lockable rooms but I also don't do those awful uncomfortable sofas!! Please tell me you've ripped them out and replaced them with something comfy and easy to play on! I'd rather get down and dirty on the dance floor than on those sofas!

Best room to aim for if you don't do small rooms, or sofa's is the new couples room, 140sq Ft of bed, wipeable PVC, and very popular with couples.
The leather sofa's are still upstairs, mainly because we have yet to do that area, and they are wipeable and hygenic. However, you're also welcome to the dancefloor...did you know there is a Foam Party planned for the 13th October, lol
As for quiet nights, we understand totally and numbers have increased consistantly since we took over and started to do the rooms etc. Its nice to start getting the old buzz back. Come and try us again when you can.
Cheers
Paul & Flirt
To be honest I've heard so many people complain about the sofas that I'm guessing most people will head to this mahoosive bed! In my opinion, the sofas just take up valuable space and make it unusable!

Neil, feel free to hijack if you have something new!

OK then, but only to put Cubes out of his misery . . . . .
I am an UNCLE! biggrin:cool::D:cool::D My sister brought two beautiful little boys into the world on Saturday. I can't remember when I've ever been so happy. I've hardly known what to do with it all weekend, bursting out sobbing every time a new pic comes through to me Facebook ( She's 150 miles away. ) and laughing me bleedin' head off all at the same time. Best. Feeling. Ever! Can't wait till I get down there at the weekend and get to have a little hold of 'em. :D:love::D:love::D
Wow!! That's massive! How could you have kept that to yourself?
Congratulation!!!

i volunteer my time for a local small rescue in my are .. i dont help out physically with the animals per say. but i have fostered them in the past and help out with the fundraising. and always recommend a rescue whenever possible. i have 2 dogs 2 cats a terrapin all rescues and a goldfish 1 of the kids won at a fair. lol feel like a zoo at times but worth the time and effort

We were going to rescue a dog but wanted a puppy so that we know it will be ok with the kids, eapecially with our youngest being autistic. You can't always tell what older dogs have been through. It worked out about the same cost to buy this one from a farm as to rescue a dog. I do feel a little bad but at least I know his background.
4 of our chickens were rescued though so I have done my bit for animal welfare.

I knew you couldn't keep away from me for long.
I know where you have been, practicing your pelvic floor exercises because you knew I would beat you. :giggle:

Hahaha! I might have been doing some sexercises!
Thanks everyone for being so welcoming. We did let our account expire but I missed you all sooooooo much (nothing to do with my unhealthy obsession with cock cams .... Honest!!)
It's a ikkle border collie. We already have a black and white one, this one is red and white (but it looks quite blonde). He looks like a ikkle baby polar bear!!
I might put a pic on later so you can all see how cute he is!
Neil, feel free to hijack if you have something new!
Finally got around to making a decision. We are coming and have booked a room so you may as well confirm us.
See you all there xx
