In my experience, those who don't want to be ops, mods or whatever you call them, generally make the best ones.

   dunno
Or to put it another way:
"I wanna be an op, I wanna be an op, I wanna be an op, I wanna be an op" don't make good ops. Surely the best way to see who would make good room ops would be to see who regularly opens rooms and which of those have the least problems/complaints and approach them to see if they would like the job.

From our point of view, we like to see a bit more text on a profile about yourselves. Likes, dislikes, preferences...that kind of thing. Some up to date photos may help. Mrs Tweeky does look cute, but the first pic in your gallery appears to be an old photo, judging by the old SH marking and the pic of Mr Tweeky is quite grainy.
We like to think of the profile as a CV and then any adverts or replies to adverts as the cover letter you'd send with it.
Hope this helps.
As I have said on another thread, unless the leader of a political party is the candidate in your constituancy you don't actually get to vote for who is Prime Minister anyway.

oh... and GnV.... do you have the same disrespect for John Major.... I only ask because he and his last conservative administration were under the same calls to call an election, and then held out to the last possible date to have one.....
or does your faux-rage only point one way?
)

John Major was the elected leader of the party when the Conservatives were returned to power with a mandate from the Country, so therefore had legitimacy.
Gordon Brown was/is not. wink
He was still unelected by the people when he took power and waited two years before he announced a general election.
The general public have never voted for who becomes Prime Minister. The only person we vote for is the one who represents which ever constituancy we live in. The PM is decided by the members of which ever party has the most elected candidates at an election.
Jewl has a rather fine 3/4 length, pure wool overcoat (see our pics). Nice and warm but with easy access.
Right handed and to the left, except when I have a long car journey in tight trousers at which point I can guarantee that my knackers will have a disagreement and choose opposing sides dunno

This was a child that had been threatened in a public place fgs. The officer done the right thing, but the others must have worked for Harringay Council. mad
With all that has happened of late they should have, no without any doubt should have turned up that day.....period.
A childs life could have been in danger and money and resources do not come into it. IF I reported a neighbour about serious concerns I had about a child, I would expect them to turn up with a Police officer, within the hour. No excuses ever for that.
This was not a burglary which we would expect them to take six weeks to get round to seeing you, but a child.

Is it me or is this the complete opposite to the viewpoint you started this thread with?

Well they wont give you a pin any more ffs!

Yes they do.
I used to 'thumb it' quite a bit as a teenager. One that sticks in my mind is walking back to our village with a few mates. As a laugh I stuck my thumb out on hearing a car approaching. Quite shocked when a lady in a small hatchback stopped and squeezed 5 or 6 of us in her car. Others included the coldest ride ever in the back of a pick-up truck and my college lecturer picking me up with the words "I'm not the only one who's going to be in the shit for being late then".
Picked up a few when I've been on my own. No wierdos amongst them, but I don't stop for just anyone. To be fair other than Glastonbury week, I've not seen one for years.
So the communists and the fascists both have to click 'other'? Might skew your results a little.
Really looking forward to this. Need to book up a hotel though. Can anyone give us some pointers to hotels or which part of Oxford we're heading for?
Heading up to where you can hear the M4 tonight or maybe over looking Bristol. ...feel free to come and say hello.

Funny though how I think it is Swindon, has closed down ALL speed cameras as they say it does not do any good.

Not true. They have only removed the fixed GATSO cameras (There's only 5 now in the whole of Wiltshire). Mobile canera units are still active of which there are 14 in the county.

To answer a question with a question.....
How did he lose his hand ?

From Wikipedia:
"Abu Hamza lost both his hands and the use of his left eye, allegedly as a result of wounds sustained in Afghanistan during a de-mining project around 1993"
