The site is very diverse and people seem to use it in many ways, and arrange meets in many different ways.
This is only a VERY general overview and dont take it as gosple, but this is how I have found it to work.
Forums - usually meets are a bit slower at coming forward and people seem to get to know each other via messages on here and then probably follow it up at socials (which are normally advertised in Lets Meet Up). Also you will find that getting yourself known in the forums and letting people get used to seeing you around often helps.
Chat - moves way to quick for me, but they all seem a very sociable lot and love to natter and arrange things. Some are looking for instant meets, but a lot use it to chat and get to know each other, talking in real time and then making arrangements. There are many different rooms, some aimed at specific sexual tastes and others are just based around locations. Again, it can take a bit of time for people to get used to seeing you around, just like it would if you changed from your usual pub to a knew one.
Photo Ads - probably much quicker meets, but from my own experience, the 'competition' can be higher, with more people looking to meet. However, it can also be very sucessful depending on what you are looking for.
The best advise I can give is to take your time, let people get to know you and take it from there. It can be frustrating but when someone is trusting to you meet at their home, coming to your home, or even meeting in a darkened car park, it can take a bit of time to build up the trust, and trust takes time.
Just my opinion, probably a load of old waffle, but good luck with the search and in the mean time, drop into the forums, make the most of the chatrooms and consider putting some public photos on your profile. Personally, I would NEVER arrange anything with anyone if I could not see a couple of public photos first.
