I think the Webmaster is aware of why we wrote this
Yes, the club did not meet in the intervening years but has run very successfully over the past 5, here in the UK and in a number of other counties. Our intention is to carry on the traditions and style of the original club. I can assure you that we do praise both women and wine.
I noticed that all the individuals who have had a go at the Hellfire Club, have not actually visited us. Yes the area is insalubrious, but the club is not; we think it is on a par with any decent London night club although the description could be missleading in terms of sise. We will alter the web site accodingly, because it is not our intention to misslead anybody.
The Club started in 1750 and was resurrected in Hampshire 5 years ago; we recently started parties in London and try very hard to attract a discerning clientele by filtering out undesirable elements. We wear masks, have a great deal of fun and hope that we will be judged on the members experiences. It will take time to build the club in London and false or missleading comments about the Club or our host venue do not really help anyone. Come along and form your own opinion of us.
