Correct me if i am wrong but , usually when i go out dogging the couple's never ask me my name or age or any questions for that matter...they just want some fun.

I think that's half your problem, Alpine, you are becoming defensive and cannot understand why people have opinions other than your own. For instance, you have just mentioned that in Jan 2010 you were 32, now 34. Ok, but you posted twice in January 2010 and both times you say you are 30

As for correcting what you say you have experienced - impossible to do and quite frankly it matters not a jot.
To quote some clever dick who I can't fully recall -
"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got."
You've had a couple of opinions, it's entirely up to you what you do with those opinions and I'm sure neither Dipper or myself will lose any sleep over it.

It could be due to several reasons:
No picture on your profile - most people think that's very important before they agree to meet. I'm sure you'll have good reasons why you haven't got a face pic in public, but no excuse to not have one without your face to give them an idea of what you're like (but not necessarily a cockshot!!!!!).
Two line profile. That's your sale room, your opportunity to 'sell' yourself. Nobody who reads an advert which says "car for sale, blue, £4,000" will think that's enough info to tempt them to buy it, so in the same vein, people wont contact you if you can't be bothered to give them a reason to do so.
Forum posts. You've only posted a dozen, which in itself isn't a block on people contacting you (less is more, some say!), however a lot of them are a bit negative and moans about not meeting anyone. If you are going to post, try and make them more interesting or upbeat to make others think you may be able to hold a conversation.
Oh, and your forum posts mention you were 31 in Jan 2010, but your profile shows you as 34??
These are suggestions that may or may not help. I'm sure you'll find many people get responses and many don't. Have a think about the type of profile you reply to and why and you may answer your own question!

I'm now confirmed as staying in Ambleside from Thursday 26th until Monday 30th.
If anyone would like to meet up whilst I'm there, just let me know, even if it's just for a cuppa and a muffin. I'm also looking for tea stops on the way there or on the way back.
If anyone knows of good biking roads around the Lakes or would like to join me on a ride out, just post on here or by PM.

The Mods and Chat Ops are volunteers, but Admin and all the other techy staff are paid. They do have 24 hour support, but unfortunately they had some sort of glitch which didn't show. They will be discussing this tomorrow.
Their support is technically based, rather than someone actually logged on to the site as we do, therefore no-one sees the forum posts about the problem.

I'm a volunteer, I do this in my spare time, so please don't have a go at me because the site went down last night. I only knew when I logged on this morning, so don't shoot the messenger!! I appreciate your annoyance at these problems, but I am limited in what I personally can do, which, at this precise time, is to inform Admin and to let you know I have done so.

Moderators deal with forum issues, not chat issues, however I do appreciate your concerns and as I previously mentioned, Admin have been contacted and hopefully will resolve these problems.
We have no knowledge, Mods or Chat Ops, of what the problem is, only Admin have that capability.

I've managed to 'swing' a few days off at the end of the month so thought I'd have a tour around the Lake District on my bike. I intend to stay in a central location and ride out each day from there. So I'm looking for the following:
Places to stay (B/B or hotels with a nice pub nearby!):cheers:
Places to visit
Invites for a cuppa and a muffin
Join me on a ride out
Routes to ride
Anything else :twisted:
I have no set plans for that long weekend, other than travelling around and enjoying the scenery and biking.

Oh, and this is just me as Sarah is not a biking fan :sad:
