you'll get a better response if you gave people some focus, ie set a date and actually organise an event. By just asking for interest like this you're getting responses from people who might not even be able to make the date you set, however the responses you doget will be more accurate as people will be making arrangements to attend, like babysitters, shift changes, transport and accommodation. They can also see who else is attending and make an informed decision as to whether they want to go.
If you set a date and arrange an event and no-one wants to go you'll then know it's not right for here, but the other side of the coin could be that it's a rampant success and things will move forward.

I've just checked and I can verify that I am all female!! :giggle:
She asked a site Moderator to verify her authenticity. I know it's a difficult job but we just knuckle down and get on with it. We've had so many requests from females asking, nay begging that we verify them as female I've had to allocate time most weekends to keep up with the demand.
If anymore females need this service, just drop me a PM and I'll see if I can fit you into my very busy schedule. I've even taken to verifying two ladies at a time - just to keep up! :lol:

It's entirely up to the individual how they use the site and how often. If they don't wish to complete their profile, who are we to insist they do? If they decide to only log on a couple of times a year, who are we to inist they log on more often? You yourself didn't log on for a couple or months at one time - as with everything, real life gets in the way of swinging sometimes!!
As a caveat, I do understand your frustrations if you come across a profile that you think might be worth checking out and find little or no info on it, but that's life. There are plenty of other people on the site who do fill in their profiles and these are the ones to concentrate your efforts on.

How to Give Your Cat a Pill
1 ) Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2) Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
3) Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.
4) Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm hoiding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
5) Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
6) Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7) Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered Doulton figures from hearth and set to one side for glueing later.
8 ) Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
9) Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply band-aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
10) Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.
11) Fetch screwdriver from garage and put door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Throw T-shirt away and get new one from bedroom.
12) Call fire department to retrieve cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil-wrap.
13) Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed, force cat's mouth open with small spanner. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of steak. Hold head vertically and pour 1/2 pint of water down throat to wash pill down.
14) Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Stop at furniture store on way home to order new table.
15) Arrange for RSPCA to collect cat and call local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.
