On some remotes there is an "aux" or "av" button that can switch between dvd, video, sky etc, and I have found sometimes when I have hit it, I lose the sound. I don't know if you have this on yours.. but try pressing it and see what happens.. usually brings my sound back to normal.. like peanut says.. depends on what set up you have...
Best of luck!
I think that site might get a lot of hits tonight hun!

Great idea in theory but my god can you imagine the uproar from the people mentioned!
In the meantime if anyone feels like reporting a fraudulent benefit claim here ya go:

mmmmmm maybe someone should start a national web page up to name and shame benefit cheats and force to goverment to act
I have no idea... the rules keep changing..... but why can't they look after those in this country first????

I still don't get any benefits, but I don't need much and live within my means. You saying about your dad sounds like one of the ladies I care for - she is 71 and because she has a private pension which her husband paid for before he passed away, she still gets taxed! It makes me mad. She is a very kind lady - my mobile phone died on me today, and I don't have a landline, so she gave me £20 to get another so I could keep in contact with the outside world... and I need it for her too, in case she needs me... I will be paying her back, but its buggered things up a bit for me.
I have just heard from one neighbour that another rented house down my road has people in there that have had cars provided for them to keep in touch with their relatives around the country, and they walk around with better clothes than I wear.. and they're from europe...
It really doesn't seem fair, that people who have worked and toiled all their lives can't get a bean.... or really have to fight for it..... when others get everything... but hearing about these cars really has put my back up!!!
Last year I didn't have enough money to feed myself and my cats, so my cats were fed first... and when I applied for a crisis loan, I couldn't get one... I only wanted £40 for food.. yet someone in the next booth to me wanted £200 and they got it.. because they had been on benefits since the year dot... go figure.
You saying about entitlements... When my hubby died, because it was sudden, and I couldn't get a death certificate until everything had gone to inquest.. it was six months before they even processed my applications....
I couldn't get widows benefit because I was under 45 with no children... if I had children would have got it straight away....... As it was, I couldn't get anything, only half towards the funeral cost... and I have not long finished paying it off three years on.. and it was only a basic funeral...
I really do get frustrated..... I have worked all my life!!!!!

Yours sounds horrifc. I hope things have worked out for you now.
The horrid thing about all this is if you was an illegal immigrant, you would be sent straight to Croydon to register for lots of money!
The system is unfair and unjust. It seems if you are a law abiding person who pays your taxes all your life, when the time comes to claim back something they drag their heels. If you have not paid anything into the system, it seems yopu are given everything. It may not work like that all the time but it seems to happen more than it should.
My Father has worked all his life and paid in for a private pension. He is now 76 and because his private pension and his state pension takes him over a certain ammount, he has to pay tax on the ammount that is higher than what the law says he should have.
Had he not put his hard earned money into a pension he would pay no tax. But that money he paid into a private pension for, was money he had already paid tax on!!
I for one hope they change the rules on this benefit and the ones that deserve it, get it. The others who could easily work I hope they are then thrown back into work asap. mad :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
Or one that really annoys me is the ammount of money paid in child benefit to kids that are not even in this country. How the heck does that one work? :x

This is a subject I could wax lyrical on for hours. When my late hubby became ill, we had one heck of a fight to get benefits, and he had worked 26 years, full time, and only one week off sick in all that time.
I am disabled now, but can't get ANY benefits, as I can walk farther than you are supposed to be able, although I do it very painfully. I have severe arthritis, and have trouble with severe pain, but I still don't qualify for anything, as I am not disabled enough. I have severe depression, and could be signed off for this, but I haven't been. I still care for three old ladies... I have to, or I don't eat, and I can't pay my bills. I earn just over what you need to earn to be entitled to anything....
There are SO many genuine cases out there, and when I worked at the Job Centre a few years ago, it used to drive me bananas to see the honest people getting a hard time, and the ones who were "swinging the lead" getting everything. And it does happen...
It is a difficult situation, but I do get upset when I can't get anything.. and the people in the house down my road - which number about 10 in one house, only one of which is working - get loads of money in benefits.. they are running two businesses from the house too.... Where is the justice?
If I didn't work though... I think I would go mad...
I need directions to Under Milk Wood....... pretty please! and fast....

redface Im sorry its Sunday morning I admit I'm not logical until after 3 cups of coffee but please can some one explain spoons & scissors to me? surprisedops:
I probably know which positions you are talking about if you describe it further
Just had visions of you using scissors to snip it shorter :scared:
As for spoons wonders will never cease lol
rotflmao

I was offering demonstrations - purely in the interest of research you understand!
Spoons. Woman lies on her side with both legs together but drawn up slightly towards her chest. Man lies behind her - facing towards her and gently penetrates from behind. Imagine two spoons nesting together in your cutlery draw. wink
Scissors. Woman lies on her back. Man lies on his side, beside her, facing towards her. Woman pulls the leg nearest to man up towards her chest to allow him to slide his hips towards her. The man then clasps her other leg between his like a pair of scissors and then gently, slowly penetrates her. This is a lovely position because it allows the woman to be stimulated manually whilst the man penetrates her. There's no straining so it can go on for hours.....
There you are I told you a demonstration would be better. I've probably completely confused the situation now.
rolleyes
.
I second that!!!!!
