havent read all the replies but i am one of those peeps who dish out prescriptions. One thing that amazes me is how demanding people are. The current demand is for diet pills ..... if you read the list of side effects for some of them you would be happy to stay is my policy to look at a persons diet and advise them to eat and exercise sensibly but 9 out of 10 dont want that they wish to continue stuffing large quantities of fat sugar and refind carbs down their throats and pop a pill for a quick fix despite being given full information about the side effects. I have refused many times to prescribe them only to get a letter of complaint sent to the health authority. Not all people are cognitavely able to make informed choices and even whe n clearly stated only take 3 a day they think they will work faster if they take 6.
Also people demand repeat prescriptions and refuse to attend for medication reviews .... i refuse to repeat prescribe in those circumstances until i have seen them.
So there is another side to all of this.
Now you know what you're getting for lunch when you come round on Monday.... biggrin

To be honest when I was a biker babe, I was terrified of all four wheel vehicles. Regardless of what make or model they were. I ended up in hospital with a pnuemothorax because of a bus driver... and nearly wrote off my bike in an argument with a drunk driver.
I used to treat other road users with respect, but because I only drove a two wheel vehicle, did NOT get the same respect. I now walk everywhere I can as I feel much safer.
I was talking to my blind friend about getting another bike, but she got very upset... as its nearly five years since I have been on a bike, and the roads have changed drastically since then.... she was worried something could and probably would happen to me. Her grandson has just had a big accident so is worried sick... oh well.
Even though I'm a relative newbie to the site, I do miss the posts of certain people, and if I have become friendly with them, will PM just to see if they're ok - or email them... It doesn't hurt to send a quick message does it? Sometimes you will find that it's very welcome!
Wish I was going to a bbq .. I'm a carer for three elderly ladies.. I will be getting one out of bed at Saturday and Sunday, and also Saturday I will be cleaning for another lady. So the rest of the weekend will be spent recovering from that, and the day I had yesterday.....
