I have used Premier Inns, Travelodges, Innkeepers Lodge and various Hiltons for meetings with "friends" never had any trouble with any of them, depends on how you all conduct yourselves.
Discretion is paramount and quiet is also important.
Innkeepers Lodges come with breakfast which is always a bonus.

Being a sad old git, I am changing my operating system from Windows Vista to Ubuntu, so far very few problems except I can't get my webcam to work on SH so it might be back to windows.
If anyone has any experience of using this system on here your advice would be appreciated.

I assume you are looking for a single guy, so I reckon that Abfab is probably your best bet on the friday night. When I have been as part of a couple we have always had a good is also clean and well run which can make a difference.

I think your bill is high, mine is £12 per month for my meter. This is for 2 persons, each showering everyday, washing machine and a quarter acre cultivated garden. I do not pay sewerage since I have a septic tank (Pump out every 10 years cost £130).
Go for the meter, at least you pay for what YOU use and not subsidise the family of 10 in a low rated house.

I have a home in UK and a home in the sun, I am just an ordinary Derbyshire lad who has had a bit of luck but I have tried solar energy panels at both houses and I can tell you that the ones in Florida work well and heat my pool just about every day throughout the year. On the other hand I have tried panels in UK just to heat the water up to high enough temerature for a shower and have had no success.
When I built my present UK home I was approached by a German firm to install Volatic Tiles on my roof, but with the then deal from the UK government to purchase excess electricity from the individual it would have taken 35 years to have recovered my investment ( I was 54 at the time so time was not on my side). The scheme offered by the German Government gave a payback time of 5 years, are we in the same Europe????
A friend of mine has a air sourced heat pump for his swimming pool here in UK and gets bills of around £500 for electricity to heat his pool for just 6 months, which is about a third of his old gas fired boiler bills, so that would appear to work.
Should you be considering a new central heaing system I can recommend warm water underfloor heating powered from a condenser boiler, with a mains pressure hot water tank, and a heat recovery system for the air circulation. I use all these to live comfortably in a 3400 sq ft house with annual utility bills of £1000 ish (There are 2 of us in the house)which are very reasonable. Insulation is all important so take advantage of the government grant scheme.
My next project will be water recycling and I intend to harvest the water from the surface drains to water my garden.
Good luck to all energy conservationists remember that a Pound saved is earned.

A lot of the centre lane hoggers are of an age that called the 3 lanes on a motorway slow, fast and overtaking. Problem is they think 50 is fast and they don't want to overtake, so that is how you get this situation. They have never had an accident, but have caused dozens.
I am of that generation, but looking at the points on my licence have learnt to go with the times.
I am not proud of my points, just a lot more careful now.

Some great ideas here, but if Brown were to read them he would disregard them since they help normal working and tax paying people. He is not content with ruining the economy, he is hell bent on ruining normal peoples lives. Lets hope the pain he inflicts only lasts a little longer, but will the other lot be any better? Only time will tell.
My only other campaign not mentioned before is the exemption of pensions from tax. This would take lots of retired persons out of poverty.
What about abolishing income tax completely and just having VAT @ 30%, sounds odd but think about the advantages.
Those that want to save for the future would be able to save more.
Everyone would pay their share commiserate with their spending, not income.
A whole strata of the civil service would be abolished and these intelligent people could be better employed doing a productive job.
