.................of the cancelled Nottingham Social 28th January 2006. Has anybody thought that it might just be a fitting acknowledgement of the hard work that Clare and Steve put into trying to get this social off the ground and to the lovely Clare herself, if we could continue with the social - what if everyone who had made plans to attend declared so on the sitte and perhaps someone from the local area with good local knowledge might just pick up the cudgel and 'run with it' - I would love to do it myself but coming from Northern Ireland, I don't know the area or for that matter the pubs/clubs and more importantly I don't really know who, apart from me and a few others who had really 'signed up' - I am willing to try and make it work - is anyone else?
Hope this has not already been done - but I am sure that everyone who was going to the Nottingham social on 28th will join me in saying thet we hope Clare and Steve will soon be back to their very best and we do understand that the event has had to be postponed/cancelled. Be well again soooooooooon
not long now, less than 3 weeks............hard to wait..............all that pent up excitement.
.......nothing too bright really, competitive/league/club squash is played on a 'ladder' system and I'm at the top.........hence NUMBER 1..............simple really.
..................it's Christmas Eve, what are you planning for today?
.....jez, only 435 it can't be that low, what have I been doing wrong, god I knew I should have taken that chance of a BJ at the top of Ben Nevis........anyone out there want to help a lowly guy increase his score?
Funny guy, real funny guy - heaven's a richer place today.
I support the sentiments within this thread completely - for the last 7 years of my mothers life she was largely confined to a wheel chair when 'out and about' - but we took her everywhere with us and never failed to be totally exassperated with the uncaring masses of people who simply couldn't give a 'flying f**k' for people less fortunate than themselves. Like everyone the parking space issue and the 'tut tut' brigade piss me off. But I used to find I got a bit creative about 'clipping' peoples heels when they had f**ked me off and that gave a huge amount of satisfaction.
You know what really used to irk me though - the drivers who park on the road, right beside what are known as 'drop kerbs' (you know the little ramps at the side of the footpaths) , those are there for wheel chair users to get on and off the footpath/road quickly and safely, thus preserving life and limb - boy do we live in an inconsiderate society. I think it would be a fair educational process if at school kids and consequently adults were required to periodically live a day a year in a wheelchair and learn about the difficulties - there I've had my rant - thanks for the opportunity!!
If you haven't yet used one.......... .please go and try .......just think of the money it could save
.......and it gives a whole new meaning to getting head.
.........was listening aimlessly (as you do) to Jonathan Ross on Radio 2 this morning. He made a remark (hasn't Yoko Ono grown to look like the typical Bond villian - and the truth of it is, I think his observation, though unkind, was nonetheless accurate) - which got me to thinking - who do you think looks like a typical Bond villian, a role variously played by actors like Donald Pleasance, Christopher Walken, Christopher Lee?
For me it has to be none other than our own 'smiling assasin', Tony Blair - all that pseudo sincerity, the 'holier than thou' attitude, the 'I'm right, you're wrong' attitude and the sanctimonious ego and the pletora of 'ass kissing yes men' - just make him absouloutely type cast for the part.
Past actors cast in the role don't count, share your thoughts - give us all a laugh.
I'm sure that there are those on this wonderful site (who know other members better than me) who might be able to offer up some of our illustrious membership for roles.
.STOP in the name of muff. The Three Degrees.
.................and this dilishousness from a simple post asking a simple question........ah!, the wonder of the beautiful ladies on Swing Heaven, makes the heart beat faster and the mind work overtime !!!!
