Deecee thanks for that eye opening speech but can you please explain why Ian Huntley's previous chargers were not made public during the double murder trial?

Yep
If i'm right the reason is its because Its only a recent law...
thanks Deecee, lets discuss this another day not in the frame of mind at the moment, thanks again buddy!

OJ was always going to find it hard to get a fair hearing no matter what he was accused of. Everyone must have followed the first trial. But even though you cannot mention any thing from previous years, the jury must have known about his first trial. It is very difficult for a jury to disregard anything they may have heard.

It must of been kind of difficult to disregard the CCTV footage of him nicking the sports memorabilia too! :giggle:
Sam xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

am sure all that was presented in court but on cases like this British Law is the best, his chargers could have not been made public and the jury not told who the defendant is...just like the case of the unidentified Royal who was accused of a crime which cant be named!

Seems everybody is trying to play the race card on this thread !!
Lets all be honest OJ was not gonna get a "fair" trial under the jury system .......everybody has a view and the predominant one is that he is guilty !!
But, let`s face it .... maybe he was guilty this time !!
His legal team are lodging an appeal so the process will continue ....but ....if he gets off on some kinda legal technicality, it won`t matter what colour he is ....it`s just a different justice when ya can pay for it !! rolleyes

true the race of the jury is irrelevant but its definately not a fair trial

Well looks like time has finally run out for this guy.
13 years ago now he was aquitted of murder, when almost everyone knew he was guilty, apart from the jury.
Now he has been found guilty and will possibly spend the rest of his life in prison. Is it a case of " what goes around comes around " ?.
I thought he was guilty last time around but he got away with it, for many reasons. Has this guy now finally got what he deserves? cool

assumptions doesnt apply in the court of law
Obviously not.
fortunately!!!!
Its bad enough that someones previous character/offending can be used against them as evidence of guilt...
Looks like someone here (Kent)would also like to use evidence of someones previous innocence against them too...OJ was found not guilty of the Murders of Nicole and Ron..
You would have been burning people at the stake for witchcraft in the Dark ages using your logic....
Dont be such a silly billy. lol
He was aquited on the basis that a glove did not fit his hand, even though a glove soaked in blood would shrink a glove.
It is my opinion and that of lots of others that he was guilty but...a jury cleared him. I cannot argue with that as a trial and then a jury found him not guilty, and we obviously have to respect that decision but....he has now been found guilty and will spend years in jail. So as was my original point " is what goes around comes around ".
It has no bearing on my life as to whether he is guilty or not. It was a subject that was open to discussion and with that comes opinions....no? You do not agree with me and thats fine, and I respect YOUR opinion of course. cool
wow wow how appropriate the verdict came on excatly 13yrs to the day he was acquitted, what a sensation, drama, headline grabbing and a dream for low life journalism, thus pure evidence his previous dealings with the courts influenced this case..what is justice?i bet some unknowns have walked free or with less jail terms on similar chargers

We have all read the latest Building society/bank to go to the wall. The Bradford and Bingley being the latest victim.
Over the pond they are trying to bail out the banks with a massive $700 billion.
Over here everyone is running scared, especially the banks. Are they now getting " what goes around comes around " ?
For years the banks have lent money to people and places that could be said were, less likely to get a good return on their money...sorry your money.
So does anyone feel sorry for the banks at the moment, and the money they are losing, or do you feel that the banks are not responsible at all?
I think the banks have got themselves into this mess, and the taxpayer should not bail them out. Who would bail anyone of us out if we had been as irresponsible as they have with money.
So many people are now in debt but if we went to our banks or lenders to look for a way out, am sure they would bend over backwards to help....not! They would say that we had got ourselves into that situation, and it would be up to us, to get ourselves out. Are the banks not following the same rules as they would dish out? dunno

its time to wake up Banks is a scapegoat, actually the banks were doing there best,i feel sorry for all of us lossing both businesses and employments....this has nothing to do with the banks its the bloody cost of 5year meaningless war,in short a couple of my mates receive £1000 per day doing bodygaurd work in Iraq
what would they do with the $700billion bail out anyways, they might as well give everyone $1m each ,it still wont help, thats what we get when we let a war mongering fool be the head of a powerful state!idiot
Your opinion! What has the war cost got to do with the banks lending too much money, to people who would struggle to pay it back? dunno
I do not want to get into a war debate, but you say some silly things sometimes. lol lol But I like ya. cool
ha ha silly is my middle name ,well the banks has been lending irresponsible over the years but the insuarance has been compensating them, but why do you think its been connected with the high price of food and fuel...whilst the fuel price is coming down but food still going up,but remember just before the credit bite 14months ago they blamed it on china and might have to pull from iraq before the job is done inorder to survive..

After reading the reaction from yesterday's petition about taking the steamroom off sticky listing,am convinced that will never change but the views also indicated that having the smiley thread on sticky would be a good idea...this i also believe will help cheer up people who are having a rough patch or just a bad day
Disclaimer;Jeremy Paxman attitude will not receive a response
i cant believe some people want to make an argument out of this issue,Zeddie has acknowledge other graves being vandalised too,...are some of us just bored with life or what!

Seeing as my poll was censored......Leave it where it is !!!

I have added your poll to this thread Steve! lol lol lol wink
i dont understand why you've included that poll on this thread, well if you read through this listing its clear that the petition to remove steamroom off the sticky is highly unlikely, but if you change that poll to..putting the smiley thread on sticky would be so appreciated, thanks!

why dont we have the smile thread along side on sticky too..

Why???
so it would be easy to access when we want to share something positive in our lifes!
It iseasy to access. Its used regularly otherwise it would just disappear.
as a matter of fact smiley thread is used more regularly that the steamroom
No, the Steam room is just emptied on a regular (ish) basis - whereas the smile thread is just left to run. The Steam room has been running for almost three years - the smile thread since June this year.
i dont think its a competition which has more or the other nor the duration its been on the forum, but am sure smiley has had more replies as comprare to steamroom from june

I hereby forward my petition to remove steam room off the sticky listing, because i believe its gives a negative approach to a forum, although its been a place to share misfortunes of day to day life which some can be expressed on individual threads for help and advice, but if the thread "what has made you smile today"can be let to float on the forum why not the steam room
NB.i will not respond to personal attacks or character assasination.

Ok where do I sign??
Hah
Bend over phuckers - Im coming in!! lol lol
To sign ya butt i mean confused confused
pants off am ready lol

Yep, I can see the logic in having both things stickied. But I don't think the steam room should be un-stickied.

well thats good point, why dont we have the smile thread along side on sticky too..please dont get me wrong i dont hate the steamroom..
