Warming the Bed
This party event now has a new home at:
The Locker Room,
8 Cleaver Street,
London SE11 4DP.
If you Google the term "Bi Bi Baby" you should have no trouble finding the website with all the relevant details.
I hope some of the rest of you can make it. I'm attending with one of my regular, poly partners who, unlike me, has some experience at this sort of event.

Fluid bonded! If that's trendy speak for barebacking then I should hope it is unlikely. Fluid bonded for goodness sake talk about trying to pretty up a dangerous practice

No. Fluid bonding is when people are regular partners or married and are completely confident of each other's infection status.
I agree that barebacking with a complete stranger is less than wise.

Rose, a friend of mine runs a monthly night in Romford called Bi Bi Baby. It's mainly pitched at bi men but, given the organiser's circle of friends, I think you'd be ok there if you really want to visit a club.
I think it is advertised elsewhere on this site. Otherwise just Google the name & the club's own site will come up.

This position is definitely on my "to do" list & I'm bi so intimate contact with another bloke doesn't bother me.
Ideally I'd prefer to do this with people I was fluid bonded with. However I guess that's unlikely.

I would be interested to know members views on the above.
I know throughout history this has not been uncommon amongst all levels of society. Given the propensity for 3 somes amongst members, would they consider this as a permananent arrangement?
Are there any members that live this way?

I don't live that way myself (but would like to).
This is not something that everyone would be comfortable with, but it can be done. The word you are looking for here is Polyamory.
One of my regular partners lives with two other people, one of whom she is in a civil partnership with. That seems to have worked for them for getting on for a decade or more.

1) How can the scheme be securely funded? The Govt and country is broke because of a failure to address problems like this years ago.
2) The world has changed and we all have to accept that it has changed - the sums no longer add up because people live longer - it is just a fact of life.
I agree with you that it is pretty shallow (and based on the politics on envy) for people to say that if they have to struggle - so should you. My opinion is that the world has simply changed and we all have to change and not hang on to how things used to be.

Well I'll grant you it's hardly an unbiased source. But here's my union's take on the subject:

Your questions are addressed in the first two points on the page.

Another couple of questions;
Do you feel this strike action will continue to receive public support?
I ask this because there are so many of us who have not had pay rises at all in many years, and can not afford a pension at all. So when people are upset that their pay rise was too small and pension is worth less it could well put peoples backs up.
There are many people struggling in this country just to feed the family on a weekly basis.
If strike action does not have the country's support, is it still such a powerful tool?

I have no idea if the strike will get public support.
But it has mine. Admittedly my opinion is somewhat biased as I work in local government and am signed up to the pension scheme. And, personally, I'd prefer to get what I signed up for rather than the watered down crap that the government want to give me. Especially as the local government scheme is securely funded for the next few decades. And the payouts are hardly extravagant.
It does piss me off when people say "Well my wages and terms are crap so why should yours be any better?" Why not say "What are they doing right that they have decent pensions and terms to defend?"
Oh, and local government workers have had a pay freeze for the last couple of years. So, yes, I'd say that our (non-existant) pay rises have been too small.

It is indeed, not going to tell you a great deal about the club it's based on (well, in the UK anyway), but the idealogy is the same. Love it - a bit of escapism!!

It's based on a real patch club? That's news to me.
I don't have cable so the first I knew about it was some adverts for the second season and a mate who is in NABD (National Association for Bikers with a Disability) talking about it, favourably.

I have no idea whatsoever as to what you're referring too.....sorry

It's a TV show made by a cable channel in the US about a Californian bike gang/patch club.
It's loosely based on Hamlet from what I've been told.

What I find interesting is that there have been 249 views of this thread ( at the time of writing)and yet only a handful of people have replied. Maybe they are embrassed or they just wanted to learn a bit more about what many consider a taboo subject.

Well, obviously I can't speak for others.
The thread title drew my attention because my current ladyfriend is a post-op transexual (by your definitions). As a result I have been finding out a fair bit about the trans community lately & I was curious to see what your take on it was.
Seems accurate enough. Although it does only seem to consider people who are going MtoF.
