Sorry dave, forgot to explain that.
I was dragged up and not brought up as a child.
This in turn scuffed my shoes and socks to a point where we could not afford to buy any more(in thoes days we were very poor).
The result was that, with no shoes and socks, my legs got dragged on the floor.
