hi jason, long shot here, but get the novel titled "the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker" and have a read then get your wife to do the same. it's what got my wife and i talking, then on to sh. no guarantee it will work with you but might be a way to break the ice on an obviously delicate topic.

If you choose to move to and or live in a country that has practiced certain traditions for millenia, you should expect to be caught up in it every so often. i myself am a guest in this country but would never dream of causing my hosts any embarassment by highlighting their ignorance of my traditions. should someone happen to know what different festival i might celebrate then bully to them. if not then a tactful approach to enlightening them is called for. constantly playing the minority card is becoming just a tad wearisome imho

no seriously though,if you're going to post something, at some point people are bound to reply in a way that will p*$$ you off 
. it might not always be deliberate but in those cases where it does seem personal i think it's best to accept that some people do not have the good grace to accept that not everyone can see eye to eye and leave them to their infantile,asinine selves by not rising to the bait. sometimes it is more noble to walk away than to stay and fight

we've only played a few times so far 
(working shifts sucks) and the first time was as nerve wracking as being a spotty teen on a first date but we were both open about what we were up for and that helped us relax a lot. but being nervous adds spice to it, all part of the excitement :welcome:

If good sex is in any way dependant on personality, some of these people must be as exciting in bed as a cardboard cutout. I think some of these clowns think of swinging as a wham bam affair and fail to realise the depth and breadth of interesting people in this scene and in failing to act with respect for everyone else miss out on the opportunity to interact with some wonderful people (not to mention not having any sex). Ah well, their loss ...
