I certainly hope the chatroom hasn't had it's day!!!! Bizarre as it may be, it's sometimes my one bit of sanity of an evening. As a single-mum with small kids who live with me most of the time, I can't do real live meets most evenings. So If I go into chat just to flirt and catch up with my mates does that mean I'm not a proper swinger??? Should we only be using the chat rooms when we're actively hunting for action???
As a single girl, and couples I've spoken to have said the same thing to me, if I put my cam on I can be inundated with people who think that because my cam is on I'm either a) going to get my bits out or b) am gagging for a meet. My feet are very firmly planted on the ground (well - when they're not up on the air, he he) and I realise this is purely a statistical thing as we're so heavily outnumbered on here. But the point I'm very slowly trying to make is - that the chat rooms for me, are quite often just that - a chance to chat with likeminded folk. The majority of my RL friends are all very happily and vanillaly (??) married, raising young kids, blah blah and good on em, but it means I don't have a huge pool of people to ring and chat to of an evening - so if it weren't for the chat rooms, I'd quite often not have a conversation with anyone after about 7pm when my kids go to bed.
Things have been a bit quiet recently, but then over the past few years I've seen quiet periods come and go, as different people take breaks or drop off the scene temporarily for one reason or another. I've had some great nights in chat recently with just 4 people in the room (you other 3 you know who you are!!!!!) - and equally nights in a full room where I just haven't been in the mood or been particularly interested in what was being discussed.
I definitely think chat is worth dipping into from time to time, even if it's not as good as you remember it to be - because there's always the chance you'll spark up an interesting conversation with either an old or new friend, and that's what, for me, makes it all worthwhile.

I definitely go through phases (can be weeks or months at a time) when I'm always in the chat rooms, having meets, most great but a few laughably awful and swinging is definitely, for me, a "lifestyle choice" (yes - hate that phrase too OP) - the sex is wonderful and varied and I can be liberated and unashamed of what a greedy girl I am.
Then again - there are times, like right now, when work is just horribly stressfull and life and circumstances are hard, and then I realise that many people I've got to know (errr - all of them men now I come to think of it) really do just see me as Scarlett the Harlot - they know I've got kids and a job and everything else - but in their minds I'm simply that harloty girl - who's usually up for a shag and always has a smile and a friendly word for people.
Will I be doing it forever? I honestly don't know - there are times when I think I'd love to meet a nice fella and when I separated from ex swore I wouldnt' become one of those cynical divorced people who says, I'll never have a relationship again. But - for me - swinging gives me the chance to have all the very varied and different types of sex I like with lots of different people. How could I ever find all of that in one bloke?
And then, there are the people on SH who say I shouldnt' even be here at the moment, because I'm not meeting new people at the mo so not a proper "swinger" - the fact that I use the chatrooms to keep in touch with swinging mates I've met through socials/munches etc and chat of an evening when I can't get out cos of kids being asleep and can't have anyone round for same reason - apparently makes me a time waster.

ANOTHER NOTE: I realise there is a very large number of single males who have signed up for this (yum yum), please don't let this put you off attending. I have found, from the Munches I have attended previously, that on average at least half of the single males who sign up don't actually show up on the night. Whilst I am not casting aspersions on any of the lovely blokes who have signed up (where would single girls like me be without single blokes?) that's the reason why I don't think anyone should let the large list worry them. Plus of course, if I am proved wrong and they DO all show up, then roll on the snogfest, have my magic lipstick all ready!!!!!!

Hello All and thank you to so many people for signing up for the Leeds Munch. Feeling a strange mix of excitement and nerves, as is the first one I've organised and I'm doing everything I can to ensure it's going to be FABULOUS night!!!
So - the time has come for you to post on here or message me with your confirmations that you'll definitely be coming along. I will ONLY be sending out invitations to those who have confirmed they will be attending. Just a reminder that Invitations will be sent out the week before the event (so approximately May 9th) and that the venue must be kept strictly confidential.
For those who have signed up as provisional, I appreciate you might not be able to let me know until the last minute - and that's fine - but if as many people as poss could confirm now that will be super.
Also - although the fancy dress is absolutely optional - i'm planning some prizes for best dressed male, female and couple - a judging pannel has been selected (you know who you are), so there is an added incentive for those who wish to join in with the dressing up fun.

Come one and come all to the Leeds Munch, it is most definitely time to Party!!! This will be held on Saturday 16th May at a venue within a mile of Leeds City Centre.
Start: 7pm
Ends: 12 midnight
The theme will be "James Bond", which gives plenty of scope for dressing up (or dressing down!) depending on your preference - but dressing up is absolutely not compulsory. The bar and other staff at the venue are aware that we are Swingers - but as they aren't, I would ask that you keep your bits covered please.
The location will be sent out by pm the week before - and you are reminded that this is to be kept strictly confidential. I have a list of nearby hotels and taxi's - if anyone would like this information send me a pm or post that you'd like me to send it.
The Munch is open to all members of the site who are regulars in either the forums or the chat room and who joined before 1st March 2009. However, should places still be available nearer to the time, I will open this up to others who joined the site after this date so long as they have become regular posters or chatters in their own right.

There will be a charge of £3 per couple and per single to attend to cover the cost of the room and the DJ. Any money left over will be donated to charity and receipts will be available for those who wish to inspect them.
