Not having been to a munch, I just took it for granted that there would be people of all sexual orientation attending. In fact if gays were excluded then I think that I would rather not be a part of some homeophobic gathering.

I folowed the Manchester mini much topic and having never been to a mini or maxi munch I wondered how you go about introducing yourselves at these events. Is it a bit like when you were a kid and you went to a disco and daren't speak to anyone 
or is there some form of ice breaking games?
Do you wear lapel badges identifying yourselves or is it down to formal introductions?
I would be particularly interested to hear the views of a first timer. I can imagine there being quite a little clique between those that are regular attendees and it being quite difficult to break down the barriers. It must take quite a lot of courage to go to one of these munches for the first time and as much as I would love to attend I need to get over my nerves.

What's wrong with singles wasn't everyone a sigle once? I have been trying to pluck up the courage to go to Isis in Leeds, but reading the various messages regarding "single blokes" I'm even more apprehensive
