Ok heres another problem, yes my computers pissing about again.
I had an ever so slightly dodgy copy of nortons professional, all was working fine after my problem the other week, but yesturday when i rebooted it took over 10 minutes to load the taskbar and when it did it couldnt load any of nortons programs, messenger and a few other programs.
Ive now deleted nortons and downloaded AVG,which picked up 2 trojon horses straight of the feckers was in one of my windows files and i'm thinking that it may have lasting now on reboot its still taking a long time to load everything even though it is finally loading up messenger etc.
Any ideas on the problem???
Happy birthday hun, hope your having a good un!!
If you lived closer we'd be helping you celebrate   wink
I'm really starting to enjoy hosting these parties and we think they could become a regular occurance especially as we can't travel that much.
Great pics Reese and Timmy but they can't beat actually being there (sorry to all that couldnt come,ha ha).
But why has no one mentioned my maids outfit that Judy so lovingly dressed me in???? and remember "i'm a lady" lol
Hi JiGgLe,but can i ask a daft question.................................WHY confused: :?: :?: dunno

You've got to be a maid again Steve, I didn't get my boots polished and if they don't get done next time well there's going to be a smackbottom
Oh ok then youve twisted my arm and i'd love to clean your boots for you

I can play Depeche Mode all night if you want,i'm sure Clare would love it,NOT.
Any problems with Eminem??????
Right you lot after the last party some of you were whinging about our musical tastes  ,so if theres anything in particular you want us to download for Saturday then feel free to sugest some warned though,no and i mean NO Robbie Williams is permitted in our house,we don't want to shatter the telly.
Fire away and we'll see what we can do.

The last really great album/CD I bought in recent years was proably The Last Broadcast by Doves, yet they never get a mention now in 'pop world'.

Have you heard there new song Black and white town, absolutely brilliant.
I think that its the songs that have won the brit award for best single since it began, hence why there are so many pants ones.
Joy Division has to be the best of the lot, such an influential song, but as so many have said how many kids know who the feck Joy Division were.
Ive just seen that for this years Brits awards they are picking the best single of its history since for the award are Joy Division-Love will tear us apart,Queen-We are the champions,Kate Bush-Wuthering heights,Robbie Williams-Angels and Will Young-Leave right now.
The book makers are making the fecker Robbie Williams odds on favourite to surely you can't tell me that Angels is the best song in the last 28 years??? and i'm sure that they could have chosen some better songs than Leave right now to be up for it.
I have no quarms over the great Joy Division or Queen even if its an odd choice, but where are the great bands afferings from the past 28 years???
Oh well it looks like being yet another crap Brits, but why change the habit of a lifetime.
I broke my right arm when i was 5,fell off a wall and landed on some glass.I had to have it pinned but i loved it while i was in hospital, all the toys, like a boys dream come though when it came to having the cast taken off i screamed so loud thinking that they were gonna saw my arm off that you could hear me the other side of the hospital redface

it's almost never a problem on the surface of the disk, but when it is you can hear it making lots of noise. hard disks usually come with an impact rating of around 300G so it'd be quite hard to do too lol
glad the PC is all sorted out, SP2 did have a lot of problems but it's an important update so you are best off trying it again

Yeah i know that its an important update but i dare not try it yet,im just glad to have it up and taken two days, about 20 hours of my time and 4 re formats :fuckinghell:
the sooner you do it the better because there is less to go wrong. if you have broadband download knoppix which I mentioned earlier, you can use this instead of windows in an emergency, and no install is required just boot off the CD and you have net access, office software cd writing, games, the works. then it's a bit less frustrating if things go wrong biggrin
Thanks for that i'll do it kiss

Thanks for all who have given advice on this its been most helpful, especially Easy,Calista,Morbius and Chris of MollyandChris who have put up with loads of questions and boring shite from me.
The computer seems to be working just fine, but i havent downloaded service pack 2 as this was the first thing that buggered up.
All the drivers are installed and ive put on nortons firewall and systemworks.
Fingers crossed it might be ok.

Well i'm at a loss now coz ive downloaded a program to test the hard drive called Drive Fitness Test and i rebooted and ran it and evidently the hard drive is working alright.
I'm going to install drivers etc one by one to check that its not one of them thats causing the problem.
One thing that i did install about a month ago was a graphics card, the original one is on the system anyone know if this could be the problem???

If you not using it you may want to disable the onboard graqphics in the BIOS.
It won't give me that option in the bios

WTF is this,we are not political so have no hidden agenda, all Clare wants is the same as most other people out there and thats for people to be safe and secure.
We are very lucky here in Britain,we live far away from any areas that will ever be affected by arent a rich famly by any means but we do what we can to help others when it matters.
Everyone out there should take a good look around themselves and see just what we have and what the poor unfortunate ones in SE Asia and Africa live like kings compared to them,so for once in your lives step back and think for one minute what it would be like to be in the hell hole of the world.
Its about time we all stopped being so selfish and distructive and started to help the people all around us who need help.
Alex hun,i know what you just got the text saying that she had to put the message on,so she did.
They'll probably be back tomorrow, but for Calista a day away is a long time lol
BTW Clare says don't shoot the messenger
In my opinion the Cafe has gone right up its own arse,it has been going downhill for a while and seems to have sunk to new depths lately.
It does amaze me that certain threads that have been going for ages can be deleted but other threads which cause problems are allowed to 't get me wrong i couldnt really give a shite about the clock thread or the other one and havent contributed to either of these, its the fact that these can be deleted so easily when others are allowed to continue.
This is my personal opinion and im sure that most people wont agree but at the moment i couldnt really care about it coz theres a lot more important things out there than the cafe.
I can relate to you eagerslut,my company make us work all the bank holidays and we also don't get any bonus or xmas party.I work annualised hours which means that i don't finish till the jobs done,so at this time of year when were busiest, were working god knows how many hours and being made to work some of our days i'd say that my company is about as bad as your boss, tight feckers mad
Well i for one absolutely love xmas, always have done ever since i can i was a kid it was about the pressies, but now that i'm older for me its about my kids enjoying themselves and being with family and friends and having a great time.
It is slighly ruined by the fact that i'm working for most of it but that only makes the time off i do get even the more obviously way to overcommercial but its still one of my favourite days of the year.
I like your thoughts    and i'm sure i'll have some fun when we do whatever crimbo avatar ideas we do wink
