I would like to apologize to SH members, dippergt750 and the owners SH for asking that a recent review be removed. With hindsight, it was wrong. Irrespective of the veracity of the comments made, this site and others can only function with an unbiased review system. There needs to be confidence that reviews are not cherry picked and I can confirm, I have never previously, or will, in the future, ask for reviews to be removed.
I would not normally make any additional comment for myself, even though I believe the accusations to be, at best crude exaggerations and at worst mendacious; however, I believe, my staff reflect the ethos of The Club; style, manners cleanliness and good service and the following comments, made by the thread authors, are wholly without foundation.
“The club in question has had some really poor reviews on other sites. Not the least of which, moan about staff being drunk and rude! However, as mine was the only poor review on here, and as it was deemed biased, presumably because it was the club owner that was rude, and I said so. That was more or less why it was removed. I am assured by the site administrator that no "deal" was struck.”
My staff are the greatest asset of the Club and to impugn their characters in order to peruse a personal vendetta against me, is unfair. The lady mentioned, in the thread, as my girlfriend (she is a dear friend, I don`t have a girlfriend), worked the whole night serving coffee and manning the cloakroom. My bar staff were run off their feet serving around 140 guests and to my knowledge, drank no alcohol. For my part; it was a very busy opening night and the bottle of wine, I was seen with, was being given gratis (I have no licence) to a friend of the promoter.
Of course I would like to counter each of the accusations in the reveiw, but it is not going to alter the fact, that it is in the public domain. I hope, those of you who read this, will come along and experience the Club and write your own reveiws. I do accept we get things wrong but also beleive we try very hard to make guests feel welcome and appreciated.
