Both Mrs t and I are Leo's
Quote: For most people, this is which zodiac sign which is the best lover. They constantly burn with a fiery passion and are sexually confident and powerful. They take charge in bed and explore sexual pleasures with dramatic, large-scale flair.
They constantly shower their lovers with gifts and attention. Seducing a Leo is fairly simple; they need continuous personal attention. To get on their soft side, try playing with their luxurious hair.
However I don't agree with all that star sign mumbo jumbo, so I'll have to play with my own luxurious hair :silly:

]The forums here have degenerated into a place where those who think themselves superior abuse and ridicule those that try to use them for debate and I for one no longer wish to be part of it.
Bye everyone, have fun.

How many times will you flounce away like this? Oh well, you'll be back again in a few weeks and will probably state some nonsense that you don't see why you should be pushed out by other people (meaning me, but you never bring yourself to say that). But the truth of the matter is you weren't pushed you jumped.
See you in a few weeks.

Grow up and stop acting like a spoiled child who has had one of his posts shown to be crap.

I think you'll find you are describing yourself there.

Anyone who reads my first post will see I asked questions, based on a train of thought I had and wondered if I was correct in my thinking, respecting that reading other peoples views might throw a different light on the subject.

You train of thought is that StC should not have been raising funds to fight the ebola outbreak because the DEC should be doing it. However the very day you posted those thoughts is the very day that the DEC launched it's campaign. I have merely pointed out that becrying StC for raising funds is disingenuous because they have been raising funds and doing good work for a while now, preempting the escalation of efforts to a full DEC campaign.

Time YOU learned something, Human beings have thoughts, they are not always correct and are usually based on the information they have at the time, the wise ones seek to expand that knowledge, the regular humans who are not up their own arse's thinking they are superior to everyone else are willing to have their opinions changed should they be presented with information that warrants it.

I know all that, but i don't know everything, so I use the Internet. It's an amazing research tool and you can access it yourself anytime you want to expand your knowledge. Try looking for starters. Why not learn from the organisation itself and not rely on other people informing you. Especially when you can't handle being informed and have to rely on thinly veiled insults to express yourself.

My first post stated it was something I knew little about,

No it didn't!

if you cannot accept that some people do not know everything about everything I truly pity you.

If you cannot accept that asking a question get's you an answer, then stop asking questions.
Or, in other speak. You jumped the gun and spouted off about stuff that you no nothing about?
The DEC is an umbrella organisation that consists of 13 leading UK charities. It coordinates the raising of funds for those charities and their response to international disasters. Furthermore it is able to use its influence in regard to advertising for fundraising to greater effect than each of the organisations paying for advertising time seperately. Once it has raised the money it helps to fund the member charities doing their work towards the crises. The DEC does not however physically send people to do the work.
So if StC raise additional funds over and above their 1/13th share of the DEC's funds then good for them.
One thing that seems to have slipped your notice however is that the DEC only launched its appeal on 30 October. Before that every charity was responsible for raising it's own funds. Surely it's not unreasonable to assume that whatever advertising you saw on 30 Oct would have been planned before that date? and therefore before DEC took over the fund raising initiative?
Sorry, I must be being thick. But StC is part of the disasters emergency commitee and they are supporting the effort against ebola. So what's the problem with them raising money?

No we won't take military action, we won't take military action, we will not have a military involvement in Syria, ooh we are fighting in Syria wink

Ok, I'll take the bait. I may be a little out of touch given my present circumstances, but when did we start fighting in Syria?
The line is drawn by each individual in turn. What is acceptable for one person may not be for the next. Ultimately only you can decide where you draw the line, and if someone has overstepped it then report it without hesitation.
Thinly veiled insults or open comments to a third party are unfortunately all too familiar in the chatroom. In other circles it would be called cyber bullying, and you wouldn't stand for someone doing that to your kids, so report it.
I can join you in your abstinence. As it happens I haven't touched alchohol since Jun 12th!

I don't mean long term migrants I mean those living abroad short term

I doubt that there are 20 million Scots living abroard short term, that would be 4 for every 1 still in Scotland.

many for example in the oilfields of the middle east, those serving the (the, not in) the armed forces such as NAAFI personnel, gap year students all over the world who have temporarily no place of abode in Scotland because they have moved out of student accommodation and will not get new accommodation until they return to Scotland, those working abroad with charitable organisations, there are many that should have the vote but won't be able to.

Everyone with an address in Scotland, and registered to vote, has been able to do so.
Oilworkers - If they have an address in Scotland and are registered then they can vote.
MoD civilians etc - If they have an address in Scotland and are registered then they can vote.
charity workers - If they have an address in Scotland and are registered then they can vote.
gap year students - If they have an address in Scotland (such as there parents) and are registered then they can vote.
Of course it's democratic. Just because they are of Scottish descet it doesn't mean they get to vote in Scotland. What a crazy idea! That logic would allow most Americans to vote in several different countries as they all descend from somewhere and usually more than one country.

Does the envoy roll include sporran twitching?

I believe they now have a cure for that affliction
Well it's decision time in Scotland. Within the next 24 hours they will decide an historic referendum and posibly change the face of Britain forever.
I've got pals on both sides of the fence from our days living in the Highlands and it really does seem like it will be a close run thing. In twelve hours the polls close and the decision will have been democratically made and the long road to independence, possibly 7 or 8 years, will begin.
But if I had to bet an English pound on it this morning I would wager it will be a yes vote. There seems to much uncertainity over what will happen in the event of a no (although i would imagine it would be a case of business as normal?). Conversely the Yes vote have tapped into something primal, the hearts and desires of a proud nation. Whether those hearts rule the minds and make an unwise decision only time can tell, but once and for all they would have decided together, and must face the future consequences together.
Good luck Scotland, I hope to have you as a constituent of the UK come the morning, but if not I hope your independence is all you wish for.
There used to be a site near Elgin, but the council ripped out all the bushes etc to 'open up the area' and it was then completely visible from the road. AFter that the site wasn't used again. That was in 2010!
The dogging scene in that part of the country is very quiet anyway, so you probably won't find anyone by chance. You'll need to arrange things in advance I'm afraid.
I have thought all along that the yes vote would win in all the polls but at the last minute people would switch to a no vote.
However after watching the televised debate I am inclined to believe it will be a yes vote followed by 5-7 years of legal and constitutional wrangling.
As for some of the other questions raised, well here is my twopence worth:
NATO. Scotland would have to apply to join, and until it did so (and met the criteria to join the alliance) NATO would not be obligated to protect it. However the UK would as Scotland would still be Sovereign soil, The current bases would probably be declared soveriegn base areas enabling the UK to deploy its forces in a 'foreign' country. In the unlikely event that someone were to threaten or invade Scotland the Uk would be obligated to support her, and an attack on the UK would activate the central tenement of the NATO alliance.
Submarines: The UK can base her subs in Devonport. It isnt the subs that are the problem, it the weapons.
Armed forces: Scottish servicemen would not be forced out of the UK forces. they ave all sworn an oath of allegiance to the Crown and the Crown would still be the constitutional monarch of the new indipendent Scotland. It is most likly they would be ofered a chance to transfer if they had the right skill sets and personal qualities/attributes for vacant slots. Most probably wouldn't transfer in my opinion.
Currency: Scotland will still use the £. Why wouldn't they? Personally I think a currency union would be a pointless thing. How can you have an independent country where your interest rate is set by someone else.
Oh, and for the record the Swiss have deployed members of their armed forces to Afghanistan and other UN missions in non conflict roles. They currently have troops in Ghana, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Middle East and Korea carrying out peace support missions.

Personally we tend to ignore them, never in all the many years we have been on the site has such an approach led to a meet which is why many think it is a lazy approach from people who aren't really into putting an effort into actually meeting and just send loads of these out each day to random people without even reading their profile or caring how far away they are or what they are looking for etc.

100% agree. We've never met anyone that has winked at us, and never will.
Some great advice so far, but I'll add my two penneth too.
Take a look at some dated, but still valuable advice from the past Here Rodgers post is always worth a read.
I would also recommend that you take a good look at your profile. Reading that your sex life with your partner isn't great is not considered as a turn on by most people, particulaly when you then go on to say your now seperated and therefore it's irrelevant to the you of today.

There is already a full cabinet of Minister on SH appointed on the 14th of August 2002 the vote was ratified 3 weeks later and non of the members elected received less than 2000 votes each, 2 people who were not elected also lost their deposits, the appointments were for lifetime control of the Cabinet and Neilcannock was appointed joint Prime Minister to serve in a coalition Government with the late Mrs T who obviously can no longer serve as Minister on SH for reasons of death.

Oh shit! Nothing like breaking news gently! I guess I'd better work out how I'm going to spend her life insurance money then.

Relocating? At whose cost? Why should families leave their neighbourhood, families and friends?

This happens already I'm afraid. 600 houses in Cranbrook, a new town just outside Exeter, have been bought as social housing for families from Birmingham.
The logical thing to do is find someone within our community that you trust and contact them before, during and after a meet. I would suggest that you agree a codeword to say your safe, not a straight forward open text message as anyone would be able to send that if they could use your phone.
Something as plain, boring and simple as 'Ive just put the bins out' could mean your home safe, and only you would know to send that.
Well that's 70 years for you. Mrs T and I had a brief moment at 22:56 and 00:15. for those that don't know 22:56 5 Jun 44 was the moment the first six Handley Page bombers took off from RAF Tarrant Rushton towing the gliders of Operation Tonga, more commonly known as the assault on Pegasus bridge. They landed at 00:15 and the day of days began.
I have just returned from the former RAF Upottery airfield in Devon. Very few people will know it by name. It was the airfield that the, 70 years ago tonight, flew 45 Dakota aircraft into Normandy for Operation ALBANY. On board those 45 aircraft were the 1st Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne. A further 36 Dakota's carried the 2nd Battalion.
Although they were not the first coup-de-main forces to land in the airborne element of Operation OVERLORD they are arguably the most famous. Many of you will remember the TV miniseries 'Band of Brothers' Based on Easy company 1/506.
There was a moving ceremony at the airfield today. There are several features of the original site still in existence to add poignancy, not least the former control tower, the heart of any airfield.
Most touching off all was meeting two former paratroops from Able Company 1/506 and Dog company 2/506. They returned to the airfield today for the first time in 70 years.
One couldn't help but think how different the world is now due to the efforts of these frail old men and their generation. They at least survived to see what they achieved. But for many more 'They gave their tomorrow for our today'.
Lest we forget.
We type 'fine thanks, how are you?'
This means that the ball is in there court. They must reply with something that answers the question and moves the conversation on, hopefully somewhere more interesting or they get ignored.
Either that or just ignore them from the word go ;)
Loss of sight in both eyes would mean the end of me. Everything else I think I could cope with.
