twink = Common term used to describe a young or young looking gay man.

Thanks, not relevant to the seach I was aiming for then!
Gem.........
So I've heard!
Venusxxx
Can someone educate me? I was looking up 'wank torture' and Google asked whether or not I meant 'twink'. I did a seach for that, but since I'm on someone elses PC, I'm a little reticent about opening up fetish pages on their PC which might prove to be a little scary!
Is 'twink' safe?! :undecided:

You know, I could have gone to Brussels for three days........... :sniff: :P

Tomorrow, The Slut (as in Eager) will be dumping me somewhere up North (SW of Manchester I believe) I have a tent, some spare change, and would rather kip in back gardens than spend time finding campsites. Any offers? (only people who I've met)
Venusxxx
I'm curious, but be buggered if I can find it.
Didn't we have a thread going where people tried to guess when SH would hit their 25,000th member?

NOBODY can have the Post Munch blues more than those who couldn't make it evil
Still, I had a very good time with Kitty, without having to worry about baby-sitters, hotel rooms, travel.......
See everyone at the Yorks!

Without getting into a blame game, I'd just like to point out that when someone is scared, their reaction is likely to boil down to two responses; flight or freeze. I tend to freeze when I'm scared, that's just me. This guy simply didn't.
The reality is he wasn't likely to rationalise the situation or his response, he most likely acted upon instinct, so let's lay off criticising the poor dead guy shall we?

I remember a time when women wore skirts all the time and they looked lovely, these days it is rare to see the female of the species in them, everywhere I look, the women wear trousers or jeans, why is this? aren't they bothered about looking feminine anymore?
I realise that sometimes it is convenient for warmth in winter, or decency, such as when bending over, ( gardening for example ) but surely it is not necessary all the time, I.E. going to work, or having a night out, I have seen them with scruffy old jeans on, sometimes with tear's and holes in them, which spoils their appearance and looks ridiculous after they have put make up on and done their hair.
An admirer of a well turned out woman!!!

Gosh. I'm sorry.
/note to self. Must do better.

i'm entirely neutral about the killing at Stockwell - we've got to wait and hear what the authorities can establish about what actually happened in the event and the build-up to it.
If some of those now grieving for their relatives murdered in the explosions can plead for people to stop and think and try to understand, ( )
and not react only with hatred and bitterness, why can't the rest of us do the same? Yes of course we want justice for all those suffering form these terrible events, but there is more to this than primitive tabloid headlines. I think we need a bit less certainty and a bit more patience and understanding.
Mike. (Expecting sneers and jeers, but I want to say this anyway.)

I agree with this. No argument is worth it's salt when based on media fuelled speculation.

When split second decisions come into the equation, especially in times like this, human error is inevitable. We are not computers. It's tragic for all involved, and the main people to blame are the bombers who put everyone in this situation in the first place.
Venusxxx
It's not good. The situation is desperate. We all need to pull together for our comrade in need.

The poor man managed to get SH on the list of banned sites at his local library! rotflmao
It may well be a long while before he is able to log into SH again. In the meantime I need suggested coping methods to pass on to him. :violin: *sniggers*

Venus mentioned earlier that we could have a rating system for threads, where the number of posts decided where the thread stayed. Bad idea IMHO. People will post crap on a thread just because it'll keep it in the Cafe and they'll be using it to satisfy their own poor ego. It's a case of "I'm not breaking any of the rules as they're written, so what are ya going to do about it?" attitude and it sucks.

Glad it was a 'humble' opinion rotflmao
The idea seemed like a good one because I thought it would stave off people bitching about their threads being put in a 'dump' bin......
However, you have a point. I tend to forget how retarded people can really be, and hadn't thought of that.
Venusxxx
Personally I think this discussion has reached it's conclusion.
It's been established that there are two very different types of thread in The Cafe. It's been established that one train of thought does not want to see one type of thread locked, and the other wants to see less of these threads in The Cafe.
It's pretty much evident that another catagory is needed to cater for this.
Simple really.
Venusxxx
If another catagory is created, then moving threads to the correct area is a basic moderating duty. End of.
Venusxxx
Ohohoh! I have a constructive idea
Instead of having a 'shit bin' how about doing it the other way around? Threads which reach X amount of pages, thus reflecting they are decent topics which interest people, be put in a 'commendation' room? This way people won't become so offended if their threads are removed to a 'shit bin' and it might encourage people to try to post worthier topics?
and I'd know which forum to bother looking at.
Venusxxx
I think one of the things which make it difficult is the amount of crap threads posted by the older members which take off simply because they are able to bounce off of others here so well. I've seen countless of crap subjects take off to be some of the funniest threads going, and I'd hate to see these disappear. Unfortunately the newer members haven't yet established the same kind of interaction with other members so when they try to do the same their threads simply end up littering the board.
Eg.
A new member might post a thread stating that they had injured their hand on a desk at work.
Response? Yeah, and, this is going where?
I post a thread stating I have injured my hand on a desk at work.
Response?
I can guaruntee a response from Easy, NIL, and others here ripping the piss out of the fact I work in a secure unit and end up being savaged by a desk, and how my C&R training should start off with soft furnishings.........
Eager posts a thread asking about sunburnt nostrils. We all think WTF he on about now?! rotflmao
A newbie does the same and we just think WTF? rolleyes
Much the response is down the the difference between knowing a personality or not.
Course, there are also crap threads which are just.......crap.
Venusxxx
