The problem with the lets arm the police debate is that the only reason we are having it is because crime is so bad. I feel the reason for this is the courts, how many times do we read about the scum bag with 35 previous convictions who has killed someone.
Please don't blame the police, they are just as fed up with it as we are.
Spray the whole area in WD-40, I reckeon it's all siezed up.
Did a passat diesel last week and I was a nightmare, siezed solid, plenty of WD and a big bar and loads of tea!!.
I'll be working, can't stand christmas anyway.
Looking foward to new year though, my mates getting married on the 30th and a fancy dress party on the 31st.
Yes and yes, the training takes over.
Regret? no.
I met a woman once who I did not find attractive or sexy, but we were in a group of friends who went back to my mates mums house and it got a bit rauncy and she stripped off, put a dildo up her and crawled accross the kitchen worktop, it still rates as one of the most sexy things I have seen. Strange really, a woman I found unattractive doing something that made her very sexy.
And before you ask, yes we did have sex, but so did everyone else!.
With christmas approaching and the party season about to start, alot of people will be having a drink. I would ask you all to make sure you get a cab home after a drink. I work in a cab office and here is a tip for you; if you are going out for the evening and get a cab there, ask the driver for his mobile number and give him a deposit and he will come and get you later in the evening, that way you won't have to worrie about getting a cab later.
A very good friend of mine was killed 2 weeks ago by a drink driver, my mate had only been married for 6 months and had just moved into a new house and found out his wife is pregnant.
Don't drink and drive, it's not worth the pain you can cause.
Go to the link below;
MY grandfather on my dads side would never go to any parade, he always said that after he got back from the war the goverment forgot about him(and other servicemen).
The same still applies now, soldiers get treated very badly when they leave the army.
Driving home for christmas-Chris Rea, thats a choon!.
I used to go to scratchwood all the time and had some great fun with the TV's there. I have stopped going now, there are to many dickheads about.
A SOLDIER
I was that which others did not want to be.
I went where others feared to go,
and did what others failed to do.
I asked nothing from those who gave nothing,
and reluctantly accepted the though of eternal loneliness...should I fail.
I have seen the face of terror;
Felt the stinging cold of fear;
and enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love.
I have cried, pained, and hoped...but most of all,
I have lived times others would say were best forgotten.
At least some day I will be able to say that I was proud of what I was....
A SOLDIER
George L Skypeck.
We are our masters servants.
My hobbie is military vehciles, I go to shows all over the country and its 99.9% men.
Its a good excuse to sit round the camp fire and talk a load of old cr*p.(as most men do!)
He aint heavy, he's my brother, the hollies.
Played it at my brothers funeral.
What a nice story.
Just goes to show what a nice bunch of people are on here.
Best wishes for the future.
Utterley devastating.
Best wishes.
Rest easy little fellax
Big up my dad, always fixes my landrover when it goes wrong.
Big up my mum, never judges me, and always gives good advice.
I would/have done, tell them straight.
I know it's hard, but it is not fair on either party to carry on with a relationship when one party wants out.
If it was a fire alarm I would call the fire brigade. Anything else I would not get involved i'm afraid. This question raises the whole would you do something dillema, IE, step in if someone is getting beaten up etc etc, I have done in the past and have always ended up regretting it.
Never ever put your name to something you are not happy with, I don't know what you make, but what if it went wrong further down the line and someone got injured?.
I am a controller in a taxi office and my boss keeps taking on drivers who can't speak english and it causes massive problems, as I am writing this a customer has phoned and complained about a driver going the wrong way and swearing at her. You must always maintain the highest standards possible.
FUn, if was a hit and run, then I would tell the police who the driver was, it's a hard subject and very emotive. If your friend nicked a mars bar from a sweet shop, would you tell the police, if your friend burgaled a house would you tell the police.
I suppose it's what makes us interesting-we all have different opinions.
The point I am trying to make is this;
If I fail to provide details of someone speeding in my car I will always be prosecuted.
If a scum bag robber does not tell the police who is accomplaice is, he won't get prosecuted.
It may not be against my human rights, but it is unfair.
da69, I agree, but if we allow goverments to get away with the little things they will start doing what they want. The problem with the human rights act is that it always seems to be used by the criminals rather than those who are the victims of crime.
Kiss, you are spoton with your post, perhaps the topic should read "legal rights"?.
da69, what I am saying is that because of human rights you were allowed to challange the ticket, if we were a country without human rights you would have had to pay it. I want to preserve our rights.
Ah da69, what if you had not seen the traffic warden and returned to your car to find it, if it was wrong would you have paid it.
da69, thats the point, they issued a illegal ticket, against your human rights, your human rights allowed you to fight it.
da69, there are loads of different illegal tickets, thats a whole new thread.
Is it true women pull up the side of truck drivers and flash you.
