If you think gallows humour is bad, try army humour
John smith, the leader of the labour party who had a heart attack. If he had become prime minister, I think he would have done a better job than Tony Blair.
At least steve irwin died doing something he loved.
Was listening to desert island dics the other day and it got me wondering................
You are stranded on a desert island, you are only allowed;
1 meal for the whole time you are there, ie, curry, fish and chips, sunday roast etc etc
1 music album
1 type of drink
1 book
1 TV program.
what would your choice be and why?.
Been there mate.
Respect her because she told you the truth.
There has been two women in my life that I have loved, I made a point not to see/talk to them when we split, I find it easier that way, whenever a couple split, it is normally one person who ends it, and I find it easier to stay away.
It is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved.
Good luck mate, throw yourself into your work and get a hobby, mines military vehciles and if you want to get involved, pm me.
My mum calls me by my full name, and if i'm in trouble, I know by the way she says it!
.I'm staying at my dad's at the moment, i'm having a new bathroom and kitchen fitted, and I have been sitting up late talking to him, and I have really enjoyed it. I think as we get older, we understand and appriciate our parents more.
So, to my mum and dad,
thanks, I love you both and understand what a hard job it is being a parent.
My mum lives in the USA(lucky girl).
I have just realised I miss her very much.
When she lived in england I used to see her about once a week and she would always make a fuss, am I eating properly(i'm 6ft and 18 stone!), do I want some dinner, do I need any washing done etc etc. When I used to go home she always gave me a bag of goodies, cakes, sweets and toiletries. It's strange not being able to pop over to see her and get spoilt. I talk to her on the phone about 3-4 times a week, which more than when she lived in england!.
Don't know why i'm writing this, I guess it's because iv'e had a bad week and I used to be able to go round mum's and have a chat with her, some dinner and stay the night in my old bedroom.
Funny how we are all kids really, and mums the first person we turn to if we need help.
On a lighter note, i'm going out there in january with my niece, and my mum does'nt know, so it's going to be a big surprise!.
Hello, welcome to the madhouse!!! biggrin
Don't go in sheddy's shed, many have entered, none have left!
To me, kissing is the most important part of being with someone.
What a lovely story.
It brought tears to my eyes.
best wishes to the two of you.
I'm sending my mum a big box of cadburys flakes this weekend.
She live's in the USA(and I miss her loads) and they can't get flakes over there.
I did not attend the last one due to my car being smashed into on the way to the social and I had paid for a hotel, I was lucky because the hotel would not refund my money, but said I could use it at a later date if I needed to.
I would like to come, but if i'm not allowed I will understand.
Who care's!!.
What a complete load of cr*p!!
Mind you, I'd like to stick my c*ck in that nikki's mouth just to shut her up lol
Saturday night, and i'm stuck at work! sad
I need a large scotch and coke please.
I have got a big box of tissues I can share.
The nice scented one's. biggrin
Maybe women will travel a bit more lightly now wink
No more 27 bags full off stuff "just in case" lol
Jags, I would ask you not to lock this thread.
The more we talk about a subject the more we understand it.
We in the west are lucky because we have access to the free media and we can form our own views.
Imagine living in a poor country with no access to free media and the rulers of that country telling you what is true, in the end you will belive them.
Terrorisism works, you only have to look at the IRA/PIRA/PLO to see that.
Wether you agree with it depends on who's side you are on.
The man who has stood outside the houses of parliment for the last five years has made no difference to goverment policy, however, if he was blowing people up, the goverment would have taken notice.
As long as human beings walk the face of this planet, we will kill each other.
I would also ask people to respect the armed forces, they have to do what the goverment tell them to do.
"For those that have fought for it, freedom has a taste the protected will never know".
