Mainly I-worm and something called Trojan dropper and various deriritives.
PC was logging off internet and sometimes freezing, constantly havingto be shut down via either cont alt delete or cont f4, shut down didnt work. then disc had to be rescanned at bootup.
the really weird one was this morning ( and even i find this hard to believe) it would not disconnect from the net (apparantly) i even went as far as to unplug the 'phone line from the wall, which obviously broke any internet connection, physically. however the screen still thought it was connected at 44,000bps. at that point i changed my virus protection.
i dont really want to re install windows or I.E. but.......
its Windows 98 btw.

Yesterday my PC went to a log-off frenzy, disconecting every 5-10 mins or, strangly, everytime i went any where near (perhaps it has goods taste, hence it don't like )
i ran spybot, and Avast antivirus, both found nothing.
i used to use AVG but got rid of it during a system clean out and replaced it with Avast.
Today i re installed AVG and it found ! trojan (sadly unused
) and SIX other viruses.
Two points.
my PC always has zonealarm and Avast running, so how did the viruses get in there?
secondly, AVG will only repair 3 of the 6 viruses.
are they likely to be 'true' viruses or as a mate suggesed, programs which AVG thinks are viruses?
