Warming the Bed
Staying in the Dumfriesshire area on monday and tuesday next week. Would love to meet another couple.
xx
Warming the Bed
We are staying in the area for 2 weeks from 9th July onwards. Any other couples looking to meet up?

Thanks for the info. There seems to be plenty of naturist beaches in the area but little else from what we can glean from the net.

Can't recall Michael Foot ever being PM. Have we missed something?

No but I think you may have done.
Have a Google. wink
Nope. No mention of him ever being PM.
Just testing your Google skills. lol
As Michael Foot was such a leading authority on the works of Jonathan Swift I would have thought you may have suggested I 'Yahoo' him.

A terrific intellect as well as being a fantastic orator. But above all a guy who cared about the common man and the poor of the World. Certainly couldn't imagine him claiming for duck houses etc etc.

We are staying in the St Tropez - Cannes area in early July this year. There seems to be a good number of naturist beaches in the area but not too sure about the club scene. Anyone been in this area before? Can anyone recommend any beaches/clubs.
Thanks for your help.

Scousers for Benitez!!! The rest of the country, Scandanavia etc. may want him to go, but Evertonians think he s great!!! Kev here.

Nice one Kaznkev.
The situation at Anfailed is unbelievable. Even if Hicks and Gilet could agree on a plan of action, they would have to clear the waiter out AND all his back room staff. The cost would be enormous. Would prob have to charter a plane to take them all back to Spain as well!
Apart from all this what about Torres to City and Gerrard to Milan next season?

A YouGov Poll in today's Telegraph says 22% of the electorate would consider voting BNP and Peter Hain is not happy. A direct result of the free publicity meted out by the BBC this week he thinks. Well this maybe partly true, but when will the 'political class' realise a lot of this so called support for the BNP is an anti political establishment protest. People are heartily sick of promises made and not kept, spin, expense fiddling and US led foreign policy (and let's not even mention the EC). So a vote for the BNP is a tweak on the nose for the establishment.
So instead of moaning about the Beeb, Hain, Cameron and their ilk should go away and ponder why a disgusting array of racist bigots, looneytunes and Colonel Blimps should appeal to 22% of the electorate. I think it says more about the calibre of our politicians these days than than the appeal of an ex public schoolboy who never got over the shock effect that scrawling swastikas on the back of his exercise book had on teachers.

It's the age of some of these guys that make me laugh. Followed Man United as a youngster (the glory days of Dave Sexton!!) and the heads involved were in their twenties. On my very rare journeys to away matches these days I am amazed to see the same old faces cropping up. These lads must be grandads now.
As bad as the WHU/Millwall scenes were, thankfully they are very much a rarity.

From B&B owners we know the first major question is do you bother doing evening meals? If you do, that's you tied down to the business for most of the day.
Other things to consider are knowing people who are willing to help run the place if for some reason (eg. party or meet) you are away. also remember that you are allowing people into your home that you don't really know and all that might bring with security. As one fella said to us. Some people would be away with the wallpaper if they thought they could get it out the door.
Having said that, the owners we have met all enjoyed it loving the variety of different people that they meet.
Have fun and if you do organise swingers weekends let us all know!!

Agree with a lot of what Pete SW says. Unfortunately too many decisions taken by governments there days infringe our civil liberties. Any decision taken by a government
on the pricing of alcohol will be seen as such an attack. At the end of the day, no government will take on the power of the big supermarkets to put up the price of alcohol and incur the wrath of the electorate. But there may be a 'tipping point' sometime in the future where a Govt has to do something. Pop into town tonight and see the state of the kids piling out of pubs and clubs. A uniquely depressing scene.
Fem4. Spot on. The pubs are full of people on benefits drinking there way through our money. it's an awful thing to say as it sounds like something out of the Hate Mail. But true nevertheless. There may be people on benefits struggling, but there are also many absolutely creaming DLA and have absolutely no intention of ever working again and God knows how many are sat at home with the case of lager next to the sofa - The Jeremy Kyle Generation, except the show is probably on a little to early in the day for most of them.

Yep two's co and there is no easy answer. It's good to stay indoors with good company and a glass or two. Equally it's great fun being out at the pub, club etc. What we spend in one night at the pub could keep us going for a week or a fortnight at home.
But let market forces have full rein and the 'local' will be gone for good and supermarkets will reign 'uber alles'.
It would be terrible to see but at the end of the day the liver disease time bomb might force a government into action rather than worrying about the demise of the pub.

Recently bought a case of premium strength lager (ok, Stella) on special offer from my local Tesco. It worked out at per unit of alcohol. My local club sells Carling at a price that works out at 95p per unit of alcohol. This gives the supermarket a totally unfair advantage.
However there is another issue. Both outlets need to have someone who is in charge to oversee the sale of intoxicating liquors. So if someone kicks off at the local pub or club 'under the influence', the personal licence holder is directly involved. The Police will want to know all the circumstances and whether or not he was served while obviously drunk. Severe penalties can result from this including loss of licence/livelihood.
Someone takes a case of lager home, drinks it in one evening and ends up attacking a member of the household. Do the Police go down to the local supermarket to interview the licence holder? Of course not. And there is the problem.
The supermarkets stack 'em high and sell 'em cheap approach to booze has absolutely no social responsibility attached to it apart from a few 'get out clauses' about drinking responsibly. So as well as all the health implications about selling cheap booze and the long term effect this has on the people of this country, there is the problem of direct responsibility for the sale of the alcohol.
Just as an aside, talking to a lady at work the other day she was commenting on how when she first moved into her estate the women used to chat over the garden hedge with a cup of tea in hand. Now it is nearly always with a can or bottle. She also overheard a conversation where a young 20 something mother was trying to arrange a babysitter so she could go out 'on the lash' that evening. Talking to a 16 year old girl she announced that she would give her £20 and get a case of Stella in for her and her mate!
There is a problem and certainly the supermarkets aren't helping.

Did anyone see this programme last night? The main characters Maggie and Phil have a swinging couple living next door to them, Mia and Nick. In last night's epsiode, Nick meets up with the wife of a couple they had sex with at a suggests to Nick that the pair of them meet up for regular sessions at a hotel. He tells Mia and she very obviously is not happy about it this. End of programme.
So what next then? Mia and Nick split up (?) and we have the perfect moral tale for mass consumption that swinging is bad for relationships. Bearing in mind that most studies show that swinging couples tend to have better communication and understanding of each other than most couples, the unlikely scenario presented seems like propaganda.
Has anyone ever been contacted by the spouse of a couple in this way? If they did what was/would be your reaction? At the risk of sounding absurd, we find swingers to be a fairly moral lot , so how often would this happen?

Genuine, friendly attractive newbie doggers would appreciate help from other couples about suitable safe sites. We are keen on watching and being watched by other couples. We would prefer to avoid some of the well known sites we have heard about as we found the atmosphere on a couple of sites a little bit too intimidating.
Hope someone can help.

Was listening to Talksport last Wednesday after noon (5Live is unbearable during Wimbledon fortnight!) and the agony aunt was on talking about 'Wife Swap'. The motor mouth presenter obviously had never watched the programme and started banging on about actual swapping. 'Oh no, that's never happened' says the AA 'it's more about domestic relationships'. The presenter then launched into a tirade on swingers and swinging. Everyone was in their 40's/ 50's , were ugly, were saddos and obviously had something wrong with them eg a crap sex life.. The AA tried to rein him in a bit saying the whole scene has changed dramatically during the past few years and many people are trying it for themselves. He then challenged a swinger to ring him to discuss the lifestyle. I think he was a bit taken aback when a guy called John from Birmingham rang in and explained why he and his wife swing., the frequency with which they do and that they have an excellent sex life apart from this. At this point the 'phone rang and I missed the last ten minutes of the programme. Did anyone catch the end of the programme?
