There is not a phantom thread nicker around - the event WAS a munch and then, because the organisers wanted to invite BANNED members it was downgraded to a social. This is not allowed. Now a new social has to be advertised. The original thread has been quarantined.
Munches have strict guidelines and rules about who can attend - see the 'terminology' link for more information.
This social is not only for members of this site and so those who are banned from here, for contravening the rules in some form, are liable to be there. No problem with that but it's now not a munch.

NOTE - This was NOT downgraded because I wanted to invite banned members!!
This was downgraded to a social as the numbers attending had dropped so its now being advertised elsewhere in order to make numbers up. I am not aware of banned SH members being on my list - mainly as I dont know who all the banned members are! The ones I know of who are banned are NOT on my list (although now its a social I assume they can be if they wanted to). If other banned members are on the list, then they are banned from here without me knowing that. How do we know who all the banned members are? Is there a list somewhere
: This has not been downgraded for any other reason than I wanted to get a viable number of people to attend. Other events have been downgraded on this site and the threads have remained on the site. I added a new social thread to the site once the munch thread was deleted (even thought it had been edited to show the change from Munch to Social) and that too was deleted with no explanation, even though I sent a PM to admin - to which no reply has been receieved. I have been a member on this site for quite some time now, always "lived" by the rules, never been abusive etc etc so dont know why some explanation could have been personally sent to me as I requested.
However...that said ..........................I am looking forward to this night out and hope all others coming along are too

The night will have a 70's Theme - so dig out the flares and platforms, dust off the afro and lets Boogie on down in London Town :happy: However, you can come as you are if you are more comfortable - not everyone will dress up although I am sure lots will
I have hotel details for those who need them - send me a PM if you need them sent.
The venue will hold around 100 people, so If you want to attend this social night out please add your name to this thread or send me a PM
