Its always interesting to hear others opinions on larger women. I am a cuddly size 18 and must admit that I have had many reservations about meeting people because of my size. I think I am sexy and have a man who adores me but at the back of my mind think everyone is really after the Victoria Beckhams in this world.
So thanks I feel much better after reading these posts. biggrin
T xx

Fear not, i was like you about 4 years ago, since then ive dicovered that some men do preffer larger women (im size 18 and only 5'4")
Ive had very few reject me cos of my size and to be honest i dont think i was missing much with them!!
I had one guy who when telling me that he would much rather do size 18 than size 10 say, "Id be too scarred a size 10 would break!!"
Dont lety your size deter you, just enjoy!!

there are alot of very good golf courses down south too as well , several open qualify courses wink

Go mad and find the M6!!! Passport not needed!!
Ive found that bi men are more than ready to letch over other men, be they bi or straight.
But it must be pointed out, biggest is not always best!!!! lol
Well it may be in this instance - but not always!! redface
definately not always!!
What a load of nonsense, of course women have higher sex drives, its just that society has tried to teach women to deny this!!

However if i was the MD of Woolworths i would much prefer them to write to me so that i could improve the selection available and not loose the custom of said customer and not have them slagging the selection off to their friends etc!!

Of course if the argument was about the lack of selection, and that there was NOTHING that appealed to them- then fair enough, they have a valid complaint.
However.. if their argument was… “I don’t want to shop in wollies anymore, as I don’t like liquorice allsorts and so want you to stop selling them”.. I have no doubt foxy that after a giggle with your secretary you would mentally section that individual to the nearest asylum! lol

All bad customer feedback is enormously important and is an opportunity for services to be improved. Companies like woolies spend a fortune each year to discover how their customer servies/products can be improved, sh is fortunate that its customers (especially old established one like fabio) are giving their opinions without being asked and for free.

It has to be noted that this service is (at least for the “customers” )free.
I pick up the local FREE paper each morning on the way to work.
I have to admit that I find a lot of it un-interesting, and not as enjoyable as the paper I pay 60p for.
However it has cost me nothing. I did not lose out in anyway.
Instead of looking at the stuff I did not like and complaining about it.. I look at the parts I DO enjoy and think… ooooh, all this for not a penny!
Then again , if someone wronte to the MD and said, every time i walk through your store t get pestered about the most trivial matters....................................now that should be of some interest.
Im sure your not saying that sh is not as good as a site you would pay for but price or no price it is clear that people do care about sh and arnt prepared to just ignore it faults because they arent paying.
The responses to this and other similar threads is providing very interesting data, i for one would love to see it all collated properly and summerised.

I like to think of this site like a pic”n”mix sweet counter, there is something for everyone.. but very few people will like the whole selection.
Would you think it was a good idea to write to the managing director of woolworths to complain just because you did not fancy some of the sweets he had in his selection?
Of course not! You would either just select the ones that did appeal to you….. or make your choice to buy your confectionary elsewhere.
Its not rocket science.
I am one of the “oldies” who has not posted so much of late, I will however say it is less to do with the “newbies” and their posting excitement, and much more to do with the nastiness I am seeing being increasingly directed at them.
It does not make for a good atmosphere.. and to be honest… that’s the thing that made this site.

Now I love the way youhave compared sh to wollies and i agree that most people would just have a moan to their friends /realtives and go somewhere else for their sweeties. However if i was the MD of Woolworths i would much prefer them to write to me so that i could improve the selection available and not loose the custom of said customer and not have them slagging the selection off to their friends etc!!

Im a bit late replying but..................................................
I agree wit you that the incident should not have happened, and that your child should have been dealt with in a different manner. Personally i would never insist that a child prays (in fact i would never lead pryers in school, but that is a different story) and certainly sending him out of class is very harsh.
However, i think the teacher in question probably so it as a control issue. Supply teachers are often given a very hard time by pupils who try to undermine their control. The teacher probably felt that if s/he didnt establish who was in control at this stage they would have lost it forever with that particular classand maybee the whold school. Through in his/her own religious views and it was a receipe fo dissaster.
So, yes its a good idea to go and she the head privately and insist that this does not happen if your son is genuine and adameant that he does not believe in parying you might feel able to support him by putting in writting to the school your wish that he does not take part in religious indoctrination (ooohhhpppsss sorry i mean religious worship)?

Replying as a mum (so a kind of teacher ;) ) i had a similar experience with my son.
He is at a Catholic school and decided he didn't want to do his first communion. He wasnt alone in his choice as a few Muslim children are in his year. I discussed his choice at length with the Head as this sort of thing never goes down well and she assured me that they would not make a big deal of it...
The first day the class had instruction of the communion, my son and his 2 Muslim friends were sent out to the yard to pick up litter. mad
Well, you can imagine the response that got from me! I wanted to put the horrible cow through a window..but calmly explained that it was not right to treat children like that because of the choices they make. After that the 3 absconders got extra art tuition during the communion instruction ;)
Personally I will always back my children (especially against narrow-minded bigots) but you also have to consider your position. No child wants to feel different and as parents we have a right to support them in their choices. I don't think you have blown it out of proportion..maybe a quiet word with the teacher concerned would be sufficient?
Good luck with this one hun where your children are concerned rational thoughts can go out of the window confused
Minx xx

"extra art tuition" !!!!! mpow that is postively child cruelth, if i had been him i would much ave preffered picking up litter!!!
Hi
Can you just clariffy (maybe you have and i have missed it) what you mean by "segregated", what did the teacher do to your son?Give me the details and ill comment as an atheist, a parent and an ex teacher at 3 roman catholic schools.
Seconsly, why do you specificaly mention "violece towards women" rather than violence in general?
Hey Mark
im thinking of changing my ID for WickedWitchoftheNorthWest
What do you think? might suite some people?
Rachael, im so pleased for you,( even if i have spelt your name wrong). your post has been on my mind all day and ive been trying to figure out how to reply to it!!
Your on your way to doing with your life what you want to and thats more than most people ever do. Your fortunate in that you know what you want and it looks like your on you way to getting it. I wish you well just promise me and everyone else that you wont let anyone tell you how to live your life? you owe it to yourself
The doc is there for a purpose , to stop those who arnt as strong in their knowledge of themselves committing a grave and costly mistake, he s no there to stop people like you who know what they want/need and where they are going
Take care and may you get everything you wish for

Foxylady123, yes I know your opinion and I'm not asking for it today, thanks all the same.
We can't get on with everyone in life. That's already been established between you and I and I'd appreciate it if you would now keep it from the forum. I do my best to avoid you and would appreciate the same consideration.

Actually yes I am a bull , was born at the end of April!!

Taurus here too, first of May.
You should be good for a scrap then!!!
I agre totaly about the constantly recurring comments about spelling and grammar (well i would wodnt i?)It seems to be some peoples constant put down of others, something that makes them think they are clever and superior. For myself i never bother with much puctuation and grammar when im here cos ive had enough of it all day at work, when i come here i want to realax and as long as my posts are vaguely readable who cares???
As for sterotyping, well you would think a bunch of swingers could think beyond that wouldnt you? Sadly it seems not so like real likfe we have to battle on against the prdjudices of those with narrow minds and limited experience.
Horous's(hey see ive used an apostroopheee) remark about not feeling confident enough to start more threads really worries me and probably explains why so few threads are started nowadays. We need more people to start a diversity of threads otherwise the board will become increasingly borring
Perhps one way for the board to regain some of its past glory is if we all drop the sarcasm (well except when directed at Ice Pie who is a legitimate target and has skin like a rhino lol) and start being nice to each other again?

Every day is newbie day. biggrin

Ice

Ahh, fair enough. I looked through the recent posts (back a month or so) and there only seemed to be a lot of "Hi, I'm a newbie" posts dating from the past five days or so. I guess I'll be considered a veteren by >50% of the board within a month then :-)
Some people wait a while before introducing themselves, some jump right in, makes no difference - everyone gets there sooner or later.
Hope you enjoy the site :D
