We are going to try and organise a SOCIAL event for those of us in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. We have a venue in mind (in Milton Keynes) but this might change if we get a more than average response.
June 8th is a Sunday and we want to start meeting at around 2pm
In line with other socials - can anyone who is interested please let us know on this forum and we will show an updated list at regular intervals. Only names on the list will be able to attend.
This Social will be for COUPLES ONLY. This will be an ideal opportunity for any New couples to "test the water" so to speak!
The week before the Social we will e-mail details to everyone who has confirmed their wish to attend.
*** we will be away from April 28 - may 8 - so updates will be done on our return*****

Whilst youve talked me round about the advancement - its now pointless going in unless you go into a room early and stay there all day!
It's actually an odd pattern to monitor, how many move to the more busier areas.
When we had the four servers, people would prefer to flock to server one just because the rooms were full, and everyone raced to get in before they missed out on whatever they were hoping to see.
Rather than staying in the room they were first in, and waiting a few minutes until it fills up, they chose to cause themselves disappointment.
The rooms will fill up, and become as popular as the other rooms, it takes a little time.
Thats understood - but not exactly what i meant!
What i was trying (badly) to say is that now there is only one large room - all the admin rooms are openly visible and fill up immediately - if you get in, you darent leave - and if you dont get in early and stay there - you never get in at all!!.

People post here all the time when things don't work and yes we did ask a long time back about things people would like to see in chat one day, one big room without moving around servers was on the list, amongst a lot of other things.
OK fair comment - have to admit i wasn't aware of that! Must have been quite a while ago though?????
So now we have ONE server instead of four!
still doesnt help getting into a full room? Just how does one get into a room that is full? some people manage it because yu can see the mumbers change!

We could have 24 admin created rooms if you want and provided that they don't all fill up whats the real difference between having 6 admin created rooms on four servers or 24 on one, when eachj of them reach 70 or 80 thats it.
This is not change for changes sake and I'm sick of hearing if its not broke don't fix it, this is progress, accept it and move on.

We had to reboot it to put some fixes in place, I think I replied elsewhere about the 1 server thing, we always try to put in failover in everything we do, there's no way we would rely on one server for chat, the second will be in place Monday, in the meantime we can flip back if needed.
With the faster servers and new config we may be able to increase cam resolution as well so there are some good things that can come about.
And one of the good things that Jiggle mentioned with the recent changes, chat 1, I don't think anyone has any problems getting in there since we changed it, this is just a move forward in the same direction.
