Hah!
Bunch of geeks!
not like me who collects NOTHING.
um...
apart from Games Workshop Orcs...
and comics with Judge Dredd in them.
And records by Gary Numan and Marc Almond.
And role playing games.
And...
eep.
Did I just call you geeks?
Nobody ever winks me anymore. Maybe if I'd replied to one or two, I wouldn't feel so left out.
In truth, I don't mind as, being a single bloke kinda thing, I don't get many at all and when I do I take it as a compliment. I would imagine women and couples get loads, though, and I can see why that would be very annoying.
Having said that, I'm thinking of winking everyone on this thread...
ooh - ooh - can I come along, Gem? Save me having to come barging into the much on my own and sitting in a corner all folorn and shy :>
That is really depressing to hear but it does higlight why these children need to be well informed.
Yes, but my experience of being on the recieving end has always been 'Ouch! Slow down, boy!' and it has therefore never been particularly pleasurable and I avoid it completely - not because of any tabboo because the idea really appeals to me both as giver and reciever, but because of the times I've had guys trying to bang away like demented bucking bronco's or something.
Trouble is, 10 year olds are not as innocent as we'd like to think. They are curious and easily affected by image, and by far the most common image kids see these days are sexy ones.
Pop stars are far more sexual than the were even when I was drooling over Siouxsie and giggling at Sid Vicious swearing.
Sex is everywhere and kids are not blind, stupid or so far behind the door that they don't know that naughty is appealing. But they are far too young to deal with the emotional mess that having sex too early can bring. (I'm getting to the age where I think 'too early' means under 21...)
There are 13 year olds getting pregnant. They need to know how to protect themselves. They need to learn it's OK to say no, but they do, unfortunately, need to be aware of dieases and risks if they don't say no. I think sex education is vital at that age, but I do agree it's a crying shame that it is.

What if you want to shag a fag? lol

You have to come round to my house...
I can stay for just one drink but maybe I will hide in the corner and just watch everyone.
That's why I said 'a lot of people' and not 'everybody' - I was going more off the venom being spat her way on other sites I read rather than comments on here when I said that, though.
I actually enjoyed that episode more than I expected as I find her comedy to be one dimensional and poor, so I was surprised I liked her as Donna. She could easily turn out to be a poor choice - especially if she doesn't calm down a bit in the series, but I kind of enjoyed the chemistry between her and the Doctor so I'm quite looking forward to seeing her back.
But then again, I'm not a massive Dr Who fan so I don't really have much invested in this show other than I like that the BBC is making Sci Fi again.
I actually liked her in the Xmas episode - she and David Tennant had good chemistry in that. I'm convinced that a lot of the people omplaining about it just don't like her because she's popular.
I would think that getting a mixture of things ight in the profile is the way to go.
The right age group (think I have screwed this one up on my profile but I'm not actually actively looking so I don't care), the right sexuality, decent photos (again, I took mine away so I'd be out of luck there), being the right distance from someone (just luck, that one), and writing stuff other than, 'Hey bebe - fancy a shag?' on your replies (though I'd find that funny if someone said it to me)
Different people look for different things. You'll get noticed better if you are just yourself on your ads and profile - that way people will know what to expect and there should, in theory at least, be no real compatability issues once you do meet someone - so long as you have been honest and true to yourself.

For me it was... blah blah blah... I have the hots for Johnny Depp as well as Angelina Jolie, so to speak. It's just a part of who I am, same as if I was still identifying as gay.
I do admit to referring to myself as 'queer', but that's another topic, I think.

Sod off- they're mine! :spar:
Seriously, well said GP
I mentioned them first on this thread, therefore they are mine...
For me it was more a result of years of coming to terms with the fact that whenever I was trying to identify as staright I'd be fancying men, and whenever I was identifying as gay I would be fancying women.
Bisexuality was frowned upon my everyone I talked to - to some of my straight friends it was queer and that was bad, to my more enlightened gay friendly straight friends bisexuality just meant you were undecided or greedy, and to my gay friends, particularly during the time I was an out and proud gay man, bisexuality smacked of undecided, greedy and being a traitor to the cause. They were only casually bi-phobic, but enough so I would never admit to it.
So, I was gay, but started to fancy women, so I became straight, but that didn't work out and I was obviously in denial so I started to identify as gay again - this patternn repeated itself a couple of times until I finally decided enough was enough - I obviously fancied both genders and it was time to face that and my friends would have to accept it if they were going to accept me for who I actually was.
It was a lot easier than I thought it would be - the people who had made the casually bi-phobic comments in the past were ok about it - perhaps times had changed or perhaps I just read a lot more into thier comments than was actually there.
I ran wild and became very promiscuous for a short time, sleeping with girl after boy after girl after boy, but I think that was more to do with the 'kid in the candy store' syndrome than anything else - I could, so I did - there were a couple of years when I would be snogging at least three or four different people everytime I went out, and would be bringing a different person home at the end of almost every night out, too. I have settled down somewhat since then, though.
So, it's not about the MMF fantasy for me (though any offers would be accepted... ) - it's just about the fact I fancy both genders. I have the hots for Johnny Depp as well as Angelina Jolie, so to speak. It's just a part of who I am, same as if I was still identifying as gay.
I do admit to referring to myself as 'queer', but that's another topic, I think.
I love the Boosh!
This is the best of the sixties.
And this is the best of the seventies.
And this is Gary Numan.
Remember the time we had that soup?
Oh, yeah! That was brilliant!
Soup, souper tasty, soup, souper spicy, carrot and coriander,
Chilli chowder.
Crouton, crouton, crunchy friends in a liquid broth.
I am gazpacho, oh. I am a summer soup, mmm.
Miso, Miso, fighting in the dojo, Miso, Miso, Oriental prince in the land of soup!
Classic times.
Crazy days!
The coolest thing (well, for me) about Vince Noir (and Russel Brand and so on) is that they remind people that guys in make-up can be hot.
i have noticed that the faster them music the faster you drive, too. I tried fixing this by only playing Lou Reeds 'Berlin' in the car, but that record makes you feel like crashing...
Are you still sober?
I wouldn't be if it was my birfday.
Have a happy one lp!
xx
I have honestly had great times whatever age I was pretending to be at the time. Funny how when you are young you always want to be older and when you get past about 25 you start wishing you were younger.
Just grow old disgracefully and never change. Works for me :>
(and I am not telling anyone how old I really am, but I do like a lot of the bands I like from when they first got famous)
It's full of bargains but that means unfortunately that I have massive geek outs on there buying entire runs of comics and end up spending a fortune.
I got a full set of Judge Dredd annuals off there - I was so pleased, despite the fact there were only about 6 I didn't have.
But I still thought, 'Bargain'.
Maye I should actually try selling some stuff?
If god had meant us to eat raw food, he wouldn't have invented McDonalds...
never tried Sushi, actually. It might be the best food ever but I will never know, because the very idea of it turns my stomach.
Hiya!!

now call me completely inadequate in the trouser department if you like, but 5 meters seems like a bloody long way to me, unless you're flicking it off a ruler like you do with bogies and stuff? dunno
maybe further research and someone from the Royal Artillery could help us out no end?
neil x x x ;)

From what I've heard you haven't hit the ceiling but you're quite capable of hitting at least three metres up the wall...... even with your "Completely inadequate in the trouser department" talents.
;)
