I have been a member for years but dont usually get chance to comment on the forums or indeed get on line too much due to work! Just felt strongly about this one and wanted to put accross the other side of the argument.
Ben regarding the incident you mentioned believe it or not we cover details of that in our basic traing,oh so many years ago, and it can bring many a tear to an eye, humillity is a good character to have and not practised by many.

IF you are a member of the armed forces, I can assure you from the ammount I have spoken to, they do not hold your views at all.
Oh sorry Kent you must be right then cos i wont have met half as many troops as you in my line of work, maybe i could arrange for you to come and meet 42 squadron we are based not too far from you afterall and maybe you could then enlighten us all as to why we are bothering to try and protect a country where in your opinion majority rule and the minority is wrong and must lay down at your feet and beg for forgiveness especially when according to you its a poxy country and not worth bothering about. But hey you sleep tight in your bed mate safe in the knowledge that real terrorists who are not just talking about it, but who are actually plotting it and doing it are being stopped on a daily basis by the real people of this country who still think Britain is Great and who care enough to do something about it, and not just those that spout off all the bad stuff that goes on in this country, who run it down,always picking up on the negatives and never the positives.

The news reports and papers and what they report are they right or wrong? So you believe everything you read and hear do you or is it just selective based on what your formed opininion is already?
Many news reports particulary the BBC show alot of bias based on what the Government want them to feed to us,this i have first hand fact on.
Have you not worked out that you only get reported what the Government want you to know and in a way they want you to hear it, thus already starting to form your opinion for you?

So what happens then to the people who cant drive for age or physical reasons that rely on the trains, or school kids who use the trains to get to school because that is the only means available!!!

Snow and loads of it and still do in areas.
We live in the Yorkshire Dales and we must be lucky with our council cos we have had our bins emptied (still weekly)at exactly the same time and day as normal, the roads have been gritted and re gritted all day and night and hey we still have not run out of grit either.

Why is it that when we have major snow in the North we just get on with it,carry on and get a fleeting mention on the news (same for the floods)but when it snows in London or rain a little heavy anywhere south of Birmingham its the news headline and a major event and oh how they cant cope....... guess it just proves the point about southern softies!!!!!

Can we put to bed that the co - op has gone as far as Department stores etc go, they may have gone in some areas of the country but certainly in Yorkshire, Humberside, Lancashire and Merseyside, they are plentiful, well laid out and going strong...... i should know i work for them.
As for Woolies as sad as it is we have all contributed to their demise by not buying from them etc, and the company sat back on their laurels and thought they were alright as they were a big name, it is however not down to the current financial crisis solely that they are on the verge its been coming for 10 years.
Fact is if we still want shops and shopping centres we need to get of our pc`s and support them!

Get weighed once a week Friday is best, fully undressed just after getting up, this is your true weight, never get weighed before bed at night as you can be anything from 2 to 4 pound heavier in fluids and food.
I lost the weight by cutting out bread every other day, eating smaller portions and swimming 30 mins a day 4 times a week or doing the same but walking, i am now lighter, fitter and getting toned as i have not just lost weight but actually burnt the fat off.
The good news is i still eat all the things i like, chocolate and curries etc but in moderation, oh and a good healthy snack if peckish is dried fruit like currants or something.
Hope this helps it workas for me and the only thing that has really changed is finding 4 hours in 7 days to exercise.

I stopped a guy 6 months ago from really beating up his girlfriend outside a night club, he had smashed her nose and she was cut and bleeding, however having dragged him off her and punching him to the ground and sitting on him to stop him doing more damage to her, SHE started attacking me shouting get off my boyfriend!!!
