Like anything in life you can plan but you don't know until you get there. I have thought about it too but we enjoy going to clubs and socials and cannot imagine leaving all our lovely friends behind.
I am 46 and do wonder how other people perceive me, should I stop dyeing my hair black, get it cut short and start to buy my clothes from M& S and Bon Marche ? Is it time to ditch the high heels and buy sensible shoes yet?. Hope not because they are so damn ugly lol.
Then again, I've seen all sorts of people , different ages shapes and sizes who are enjoying themselves and I just think fairplay to them.
So in answer to your question, no I don't know when I'll retire. when it stops being fun I guess

So we all love this lifestyle and we wouldn't be here if we didn't, but at what point do you say enough is enough?
I don't want to be the older couple that people avoid at parties and am not looking forward to responses to messages saying "Sorry but you're too old for us". I'm guessing that as you get older the ages you are looking for also change. To be honest, I don't want couples in their early 20's anymore as, at 38,they make me feel old, although it is a nice compliment. On the other hand, older people dont do it for us and I'm not sure they ever will.
We have discussed this before and said that we will stop when we're 45 but for me that is only 7 years away and I'm not sure I'll want to.
Will you stop when no one wants you anymore or when you are on top of your game? Have you even discussed it?
