My girlfriend and have have been to a couple of "clubs" which have been ok-ish. One was ropey, was was ok and one was better.
People have been friendly enough in the main, only a couple of idiots spoiling the night but I suppose that's the norm.
But she has a fantasy of being in a venue which is really upmarket and stylish. The type of place ranges from a country house with Louis XIV funiture to a penthouse apartment with champagne and canapes. The people will be well dressed and polite and everyone respects others.
The idea of a real upmarket venue is what she (and me) is looking for, but we've not found it. There is mention of a party in Nottingham which seems to have this type of policy, but being a 43male with a 34 girlfriend, we see to be too old!!
Does anyone know of clubs/parties that offer a higher degree of location and a couples only policy that we could try?

I've read elsewhere in the site some information about a possible site close to the above.
The reason for the post is to ask if this site is still valid. Does anything happen there? Not seen any postings which indicate it is visited by anyone on this site.
Can anyone shed any light?
