When does a "racist" joke move from dinner party wit that everybody finds funny ....to an offensive attack ??

I'm sure there are some on here that would label me one of those PC-bleeding-heart liberals they seem to love to loathe, but I have to say that I personally never class racism "wit" and would never find it funny. Always offensive in my book. Inappropriate in whatever company you're in.

Thanks to stuart_tania for the fab music and karaoke (sp?).

This is the best pic I could find- but it's not great!

Basically, it enables you to have useful things - currency converters, countdowns, calculators, scratchpads, email notifications...and fun things- slideshows of your pics etc- at the side of your screen.

I don`t think I have that so I have nothing in my sidebar :lol2:

I agree with you both. Any relationship is based on some kind of commitment. But you need to be married to commmit adultery. Which I think is at the heart of swinging.

I may be misunderstanding you... ae you saying that adultry is at the heart of swinging?

Hi all, thanks for all your replies kiss.
The situation is a long drawn out saga between my sister and her neighour, which has escalated into a bad situation where the police have become involved and unfortunatly myself and mr lyns have become caught up in the whole sorry mess confused??:.
My sister has now made an official complaint of harassment to the local housing authority and hopefully they will be able to do something to help recitify the situtation, although it is made slightly more complicated as the lady owns her flat and my sister rents hers from the council.
Mar kiss I will direct her to the link you posted.
Thanks again xxx
I have been looking online for some solid information regarding harassment but all I can find is documents which explain it in legal jargon confused??: which means nothing to me lol.
Does anyone know the basic rules/laws about harassment especially from the side of being harassed not doing the harassing?
All I basically need to know is when a situation can be classed as harassment.
Thanks in advance xxx

As a single guy I tend to view favourably anything that any female or couple wants to mail me - including winks ... after all its the ONLY method of communication that "free" members have. Its then down to me to write a nice note back suggesting they invest in at least the for a month's membership.
Personally I always feel quite chuffed that someone out there has looked at my profile and felt its worth getting in touch at all !!!
And yes I have had one meet that resulted from a wink -- It never got beyond the "meet for a drink first" stage, but it was a result of sorts ...
John

didnt realise you can be winked by non paying members..i assume you mean the non paying members other than the free members...
so they can wink me, but they cant write to me, i can reply to them but they still cant send anything more than a wink back..is that right?
staggy
Yes if someone has a "free" account they are limited to what they can do, so they can look at your profile and send you a wink but they cannot send an actual PM. Hope that makes sense!! lol
People who shorten my childrens names if I had wanted to name them Ells and Aims then I would have put that on the birth certificate... mad mad mad mad
Hi Anais, what time will the afternoon drinkies begin???

Our house is "lived in" I like to think boring people live in show homes....

My mum lived in a show home for years everything was untouched and un lived in (and expected everyone else in her clan to have to time to keep up the perfect show home ness to, even their own houses) now she has a toddler running about the place and working full time she cant do it - her words *Impossible* It brought her down to earth with a massive whopping bump but in the same resepct has made her realise there is alot more important things in life than a spotless house
I personally feel slightly uncomfortable in peoples homes which are like show homes, it makes me scared to sit on the sofa incase I crease it, or accept the offer of a drink in case I spill it :scared: :lol2:

Listening to the radio yesterday, they were saying that it may be linked to something that happened in the tv programme Shameless (something about a kidnapping for a ransom).
Not heard it mentioned anywhere else dunno
Still the little girl is in best place at the moment. My thoughts are with her.

I also saw this briefly on the front page of a tabloid (it may have been the star!) something to do with a £500,000 kidnapping plot featured in shameless. Ahhh, thanks Lyns kiss
I dont buy papers so didnt see it... wonder if that part is all media hype? Making comparision of the Chatsworth Estate and a Leeds Estate!! confused
I only saw the paper in the newsagents but found this article online.

I feel very sad for Shannon as it now seems that her mother knew of her where abouts all along. Im sure that we will never know the full details of what happened but I just hope that all of those responsible have the book thrown at them, and that shannon and her siblings are able to live a "normal" and happy childhood with people who genuinly care for them.
