just got in after a night out at a faithless concert. It was fab, brilliant atmosphere!

Hmm agree with whats been said about the longer hours being a good thing in general. I work in a nightclub and when we have later licenses (we have been getting them for 2 or 3 nights a month for charity events for years now) then people tend to drift off home at all different time, theres not one huge mass exodus at 2 or 3am.
Also, I don't see why people who can and will drink repsonsibly should be penalised by those who will see it as a reason to get even more trashed than before. I would much rather go at 12 or 1am and dance the night away, than start at 8 and be too trashed to do anything but stagger about by 12. Under the new laws both staff and the venues are responsible for promoting sensible drinking, satff can be fined if caught serving someone who is obvuiosly drunk for example, and in many ways it is making venues think about how to promote repsonsible drinking where they haven't before.
On the downside, where I work, has one of the latest licenses granted (not 24 hrs) and we can now serve till 6am sun - thurs and till 8am fri and sat! So its not good when I'm working!

My all time favourite artist in the world ever is Madonna, and she is playing a club in London, only about 2000 will get to be there and it is very hard to get tickets, there like gold dust, yet I can get tx (yipee), and I can't go, as its on 19th! :cry:
I may have to inflict a Madonna cd on you all anyway just to help drown my sorrows at not being there in person! And a warning, you better all make this a night to remember or I will sulk forever!
