Andy i agree with what you are saying mate, but, you have to remember that these trees are begining to take over the backstreet and we want to make the unmade back street a little more better. As up until the local neighbour hood watch had " end gates " put up at the bottom of the street, with it being over grown other people were dumping there compost and other such things on it and it has become a right mess...... due to the people who had both my house and the house to the right of me not giving a toss about the backstreet.
So it has become like a mine feild with broken paving flags, used soil and we used to find empty cans of beer, not mine i hasten to add redface

( mind you the were pretty tidy people, they put the empty cans in plastic bags and tied them up and left them by the gates of different houses along the street dunno

for people to put in their bins ) and the grass was almost up to knee height like i said earlier and i could not cut it back due to me suffering from hayfever.
I mean we just clearing a little room to sit out that is all and looking after our foundations at the same time.

Hi just a little update here, nothing has been said or done as far as i know at the moment and, according to both the neighbours across the back and on the right of me, the neighbours to the left have not been down to the local council as my nieghbours to the right ( if you are finding this confusing then how do you think i feel :crazy: ) have been told by some of the other people on my street........ i suppose this is what you get for living in the back of beyond of lancs dunno

anyway at the moment nothing is happening here, just thought i would keep you all up dated........... like i said before i will keep everyone posted SHOULD anything happen

mmmm summers for me are sitting out in my shorts a nice cold drink ( non alcholic of course wink

) with some freinds till the sun goes down
going for i little walk or a drive in the evening and finding a nice pub to stop off at for a nice cold shandy ( if i am driving if not a couple of beers ) then stopping off some out door activity hump

And running away from those bloody swines with there lawn mowers :fuckinghell: :giggle:
Oh and the smell of the BBQ when someone else is doing it for you :rascal:

Hi there i have a little problem which, i hope some of you can help me with.
On the street where i live (which is a terraced row of houses) there are a few tree's on a UNMADE & UNCLAIMED backstreet which some of us have cut down on one side of my house, as we want to make it a little nicer to sit out on in summer, you know maybe have a neighbourly BBQ on or something :cheers: and on the other side there is a large silver birch that adjoins mine and the house on the other side of me which we want to either cut back or if we can cut totally down, this tree is well over 10 feet tall, and it is starting to move some of the flag stones in my back yard :crazy: .
Now here is my problem the neighbour whom shares the silver birch has complained that we are acting out of order, for cutting down the trees and as some of my neighbours have already cut SOME of the branches off the silver birch, so it does let in light to there houses, and that on monday morning he will go to the local council to see if there is anything he can do about us either cutting down or cutting back the silver birch tree and us cutting down the other tree's.
Now my grind with him is this a few years back he said nothing to a few of the neighbours cutting back said trees, and the grass that was up to your waist in height rolleyes

So i was wondering can he do anything legally???
Please help as i need to know as i may not be able to sleep over the weekend worrying about this.

HI thankyou for a great night lastnight.
Me and Polly 40 really enjoyed ourselves, it was good to meet Preston Lancs Couple, DJ Couple and Nigel and Anne northwest. :happy:
It was a really great night, next time i hope some of us guys might just be able to beat the ladies poke
