My previous monitor didn't make as weird noises as yours,but did make some and after 5 years of use it passed away to the big moitoryard in the sky.I don't think there is a lifepan for a monitor as like televisions they depend on how much they are used.

It is a pity a small minority spoil it for the rest and resort to brainless actions.

I admit it can be hard(no pun)for single males on swinging sites,but as I am also in that category I can only advise you to stick at it as I have met quiet a few people off of here and have totally forgotten about the early days when it did seem like a good idea to leave the problem some single males have is they think all females should be throwing themselves at them.
