the best thing to do, is simply stop thinking about it. go to bed, go out, watch telly, wash up . . . . and at some point, everything will hopefully just randomly click into place, and away you go. staying up all night stressing about it ain't very helpful, so just stop.

My only comments would be that to be aware of what is currently fashionable but may not look too clever later.
I remember dolphins on necks, teardrops, knuckle tattoos, "Mum", "Dad" etc and wonder whether they regret them now?
I believe that having a tattoo is no indication of sexuality, but can sometimes be a good indicater of someones background/personality
