i agree with you on that....i change my mind on what im looking for on a daily basis....so i usually keep my profile blank lol and theres no law to say you have to stick to what your profile says either :dunno: but when youre actively seeking it might help to at least acknowledge that usual preferences can be changeable? i just thought laura reacted quite aggressively and i passed comment.

theres no need to be rude laura. people do read profiles when a post has been made. im surprised you cant see that the discrepency between your profile and your post might put people off?

just to pick up on this point....ive actually found the opposite. those rooms are the worst ones to be in, in my experience, there's whispers and directing and insluts flying all over - with no room host to help moderate behaviour. theres also no room "community spirit" in there, if you get what i mean?
for that reason i only go into regional rooms that have regular chatters as i can be sure thers a room host in there who knows the rules and will help other chatters sort any problems out.

Hello earthchild, you don't know us and we do not make snidey comments. The observations made by us are true and for alot of couples the idea of singles hooking up to get into a couples evening is just not right. When couples play with couples there is a hope that you are playing with a couple as equally committed to each other as you are.
As it happens we do play with singles as well as couples but it is with a completely different mindset.
No comment was made about your original post, only an observations as to how ironic that most of the posts in the thread were from singles talking about a couples only evening.
We would be horrified to be playing with a couple only to find out that they were not a couple at all. Couples share intimacy borne of familiarity and that is the attraction of playing with other couples.

too hot...have you seen the list of people who are attending this club evening? im going to assume not, youre claims of it being a majority of singles are unfounded.
also, do you ask to see the marriage certificate and references for a long term stable relationship before you play in a club? how would you know that a couple youre playing with were not a real couple by your standards?
you may be horrified at the thought of playing with two singles rather than a couple, that is your idea of swinging and youre of course completely entitled to that. not everyone holds the same view though :thumbup:

actually, from scanning through the thread theres a fair few couples going. as far as im aware those singles that are attending are pairing up to make couples for the evening. is that something you dont approve of? or that clubs dont approve of?
i prefer to partner with a friend and attend a couples night than go to a singles night and play alone. i wouldnt play alone in a club.
in edit: it has just been pointed out to me that some people may disapprove of singles getting together just to get in the door then parting ways once inside rather than playing together as a couple. i understand that point now, if thats what you were getting at? :thumbup:

originally i had bought some train tickets to get to the teeside social from halifax.
i was then offered a lift but sadly she has fallen ill (get well soon hun)
i am now in a position where i was only given a part refund for my tickets and now i have to buy some more
unless.....theres anyone travelling via/near halifax who can offer me a lift there on saturday and back on sunday?
in return for some money towards petrol and scintillating conversation of course
