I have read somwhere or seen on a tv prog that cats can actually sort of paraglide when they fall from great hieght.
It said that cats are more likely to suvive a fall from into the tens of floors high than out of a tree as the lower they are the les time they have to get into the position to get the parachute shape.
So tune you wernt far off

What about this idea?
You get caught doing something naughty but fairly minor, you get locked up for 12 months.
Do it again and you get double that
Do it again and it's doubled again etc etc.
No parole, no letting out early for 'good behaviour', no perks, no satellite tv, pool tables etc etc
For more serious crimes, the initial sentence is longer but again doubled each time they reoffend.
It's the 'extras' that make life in the nick bearable and sometimes very cushy so take them away and remove early release policies and crims will soon think twice about doing it in the first place.
Harsh? Sue me!

Hey ho. It's the same old same old.
Someone posts their gripe, presumably to get others to voice their opinions and then gets upset when they don't agree. The people who run this site, their site, have decided they don't like your pictures and have deleted them. It's their site, their call. They've explained their reasoning, which you obviously don't agree with. You now have a fairly simple choice.
You play to their rules or you don't.
It's their bat and ball and no-one is forcing you to be here. If you are that unhappy leave.

Im about to embark on my third try at learning to drive at the age of 31. Ive started and stopped twice already due to circumstances and being a little nervous :scared: . The thing is i cant decide whether to ask for a female instructor or not. I think maybe a little of the nerves was due to having a man teach me and it sort of felt like school and they were like my old headmaster so i was constantly saying sorry everytime i did something wrong.
Now, i can drive but havent got around to taking the test yet. My friend has offered her and her car to practise in but im not so sure. It could be trouble. Then again all the major driving schools are charging roughly £25 an hour, then needing at least two a week it will cost a fortune. Then if i dont pass first time. More lessons.
How did you learn to drive? family? friends? driving schools? How many tests did you have to take? How much did it roughly cost from start to finish? and which did you prefer teaching you a man or a woman and why?
