I think the crazy frog song is an outstanding piece of music
said by anyone with musical taste!!!!
and then there's 'the joke' - obviously i cant type it here, wouldnt want you all keeling over dead!! lol but what a sketch - not sure why cos its certainly not the best python, but it always makes me chuckle biggrin
easy - sean connery reading 'in my life' on the george martin album of the same name
only song that gives me goosebumps - and the beatles original doesnt either, its something about connery - he reads it like its shakespear biggrin
ok, was gonna post the noel coward song but got beaten to it (thatll teach me to not be here for a cpl of days! lol)
personally i've always loved eric the half a bee, but im usually in the minority....
'Intro-
Take it away Eric the Orchestra Leader....
Orchestra Leader -
A-one, two, A-one two three four
Lead Singer - (spoken to piano accompaniment)
Half a bee, philosophically
Must ipso facto, half not be.
But half a bee, has got to be,
Vis a vis its entity.
Do you see?
But can a bee be said to be
Or not to be an entire bee,
When half the bee is not a bee
Due to some ancient injury.
Singing! . . .
All sing -
La di di, one two three,
Eric the half a bee.
A B C D E F G
Eric the half a bee
Lead Singer -
Is this wretched demi-bee,
Half asleep upon my knee,
Some freak from a menagerie?
All shout -
No! Its Eric the Half a Bee.
All sing -
Fiddle di dum, fiddle di dee,
Eric the Half a Bee.
Ho ho ho, tee hee hee,
Eric the Half a Bee.
Lead Singer -
I love this hive employ-ee-ee,
Bisected accidentally,
One summer afternoon by me,
I love him carnally.
All sing -
He loves him carnally...
Lead Singer -
Semi-carnally.
(speaks)
The End
Voice-
Cyril Connoly?
Lead Singer -
No, semi-carnally.
Voice-
Oh.
All sing -
(quietly)
Cyril Connoly
(end with elaborate whistle)
and for those that can never remember all the words.....
Intro-
Whenever life gets you down Mrs Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft
And you feel that youve had quite enough....
Piano starts...
Just remember that youre standing on a planet thats evolving,
And revolving at 900 miles an hour
Thats orbiting at 90 miles a second, so its reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at 40,000 miles an hour,
Of a galaxy we call the Milky Way.
Our galaxy itself contains 100 billion stars,
Its 100,000 light years side to side,
It bulges in the middle, 16,000 light years thick
But by us its just 3,000 light years wide
We're 30,000 light years from galactic central point,
We go round every 200 million years
And our galaxy itself is one of millions and billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.
The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go - at the speed of light you know,
12 million miles a minute - and thats the fastest speed there is
So remember when youre feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that theres intelligent life somewhere up in space
Because theres bugger-all down here on Earth!
(if i ever had the opportunity to record a cd - those two would be ghost tracks at the end!!)
hmmm i tend to find when im on my own, i end up in the middle, but with a partner they seem to usually end up on the right, which in my room is closest to the door - not sure why that is, must admit ive never thought to ask! lol
great news!!!
lets just hope we can fill the seats - would hate a uk olympics to look as empty as athens did!
well, i dont know if theres a name for it, but its nice to know theres someone out there who's thinking of others biggrin lol
thinking only the nicest thoughts for you debs, im sure youll have a great time
Ian kiss
well, theres two ways to go i think Maia,
1 - just chill for a while, enjoy your time away from work while you can and see to the jasmine forest smile
or
2 - room full of naked people and you in the middle, see what happens
personally, on a serious note, i think sex is like anything else - all good in moderation, but if you go overboard, serious chance of overdosing (and yes i know that will get me a spanking of some peeps who will no doubt disagree! lol)
Ian kiss
ok, i hate spiders too - my rule is if i can see the 'knee' joints, i kill em!
this worked when i had a one living in my workshop - found its web, smashed it up, waited for it to come and repair it, and torched him with carb cleaner aerasol and a lighter!!!!
hehe ive got an old renault 9 - the renault guy round here says its a classic, but he's usually laughing at the time!! lol
oh, ive got a 60's based drag racing vw buggy on my drive, does a 14sec qtr mile, and is totally unique, but its my housemates, so i guess that doesnt count!!

if all else fails Jen, shallow strokes with a stanley blade will strip away the top of the fibres (works with playdoh too!)

sell it to some unsuspecting person and go buy a henry - theyre still the real dogs whatsits! biggrin
