Wouldn't miss it for the world, Lucy. Work, on the other hand... You know how it goes, but having had such a good time I'll do my damnedest to be there.
Since I didn't make it through to Embra for this I thought I'd see if anyone in Edinburgh fancies having a tiny munch this week (13th)? I ave to be there for a meeting and it would be great to hook up with any of the east coast members for a few drinks & a laugh.

Glad it all went well. Wish I could have been there.
Little, what was your final decision on travelling?
Damn! That means it's me!
Goddamn windows bollocks. Everything's fine til you put in a new piece of kit then it all goes tits up.
Though I never understood that being a problem. Rather fond of tits in any attitude, myself...
Let's try to avoid going bck down the road of moralising & criticising other people's choices here shall we, Les?
Just want to add my felicitations on your nuptials. Getting hitched was the best decision I ever made & I hope it makes you as happy as it has me.
:thrilled:
BUGGER!
Something's come up & I can't make it. I really need a more settled lifestyle.
Have some fun for me, folks!

Having been away for a while I've just logged on and am so happy to see that the tone of conversation seems to have finally dropped the anger that was flying around early in the topic. Judy's comments are very helpful and I'm pleased to hear what she said about saliva.(I do wish & respectfully request that she'd use a smaller point size to cut down the amount of page scrolling, though :small-print: )
Sad to see, though, that once more the entire conversation is about HIV ignoring the far more widespread infections out there and that no one has mentioned the group-sex dynamic I've asked about. Surely this is not an ostrich-effect on this subject? Or should I open a new thread about it? It seemed appropriate here...
There are only 2 types of people in the world; wankers & liars. Which are you?
I'm pretty sure this is an urban myth but I knew a nurse who swore blind she had treated a couple brought into A&E stuck together with a severe case of vaginismus. Not only were they stuck together, but she had the gearstick stuck up her arse and the fire brigade had had to be called to cut them off it.
Can you imagine the humiliation of being wheeled through casualty in top of your partner with a gearstick protruding from your ring & half a dozen firemen pissing themselves laughing?
Is it just me, or is Lucy's avatar not animating in the big version either?
Mr Licks queried how much risk a male is at from cunnilingus, and someone else mentioned that the risk of contracting HIV is "incredibly small" whilst doing so, 2 points I'd like to reply to.
The risk of contracting HIV (afaik) is small in all cases where direct blood contact with the virus does not occur it is far more likely that any of us will have a cut on the mouth (or on the fingers) than we will on our dick. Therefore it is actually more dangerous to have unprotected oral sex than vaginal sex. This is why anal sex & intravenous drug use are such high risk activities.
But my earlier post was more about the risk of cross-infection during group sex & how it is not mentioned in any forum for discussing safe sex. As swingers we are pretty much the last sexual lifestyle choice which is still very much in the closet and therefore our activities are not given ANY coverage in the discussions about sex & STD transmission.
Because of this we as a community assume that the standards which passs for safe sex are the same as they are in the mundane world outside our much more varied sex-lives. For most people being in bed with more than one partner is a fantasy so they don't have to worry about how many orifices they'll penetrate and therefore don't have to think about infecting one partner from another partner whilst potentially remaining safe oneself.
Of course, any viral or bacterial infection will be carried within the vaginal fluid of whichever partner you are inside. Take your fingers, tongue, dick or favourite dildo out of that partner and put it inside another one and you have transferred the infection. It doesn't matter if you're wearing a rubber or not or what the dildo's made of.
So I ask the question again; if we're not going to use things like gloves & dental dams or change them & our condoms between partners is there any real point in wearing them during a group sex situation with more than one female involved. (A gang-bang is, clearly different unless there will be bi-males involved, too)
I was thinking about starting a discussion about this as it's been on my mind following a recent (very lucky) night where I ended up with 3 ladies. I was using a condom, but noticed that the ladies - who were not partners - were sharing dildos 'bareback' fingering each other and all of us were having oral sex. I saw a documentary where an American hooker was insisting on using not only condoms, but dental dams & latex gloves and all were being changed between partners.
During group sessions we all go from orifice to orifice with various appendages & toys, but all too often a guy will stick on 1 rubber until he cums in it. I have never been asked to use a dental dam (not even by women who insisted on me wearing a rubber whilst they gave head). The dangers of cross-infection are apparent and since, as I understand it, one of the most at-risk activities for a hetero male is going down it seems that there's a lot of hypocrisy about what is 'safe' sex. As mentioned earlier there is no such thing; only safer sex.
Be honest about the things I've mentioned - especially those who have been quite vehement in their opinions of those who go bareback. When was the last time you insisted condoms be changed when partners are? Or when moving from vaginal to anal penetration since cross-infection is highly possible then? Have you put a condom on a dildo? Do you protect your partners when they're performing cunnilungus on you? Have you worn gloves? Would you do any of them?
My guess would be 'no' in most cases. Most of us probably never even thought about manual stimulation as a risk, but everyone shouts 'condom' because we all fall for the hype about the safe sex message which is, at best, incomplete. Certainly there will be those who say something's better than nothing and I agree, but think about it the next time your playing as couples or at an orgy. you might be surprised by how many risks you're taking already.
I know this was talked about back in October, but are we going to go for some kind of dress code on this one? How about making it formal? There's something about a room full of ladies in party frocks that really perks us up. Guys in party frocks just make us want to laugh, mind you.

Those old stamps are sorely missed. Lots of oral exercise! :P
Whilst I've been away, has this thread been re-done or something? I'm sure I recall being a wee bit dismayed about the loooong wait for another scottish munch. Still, to quote my Rocky Horror days it'll just help me to shiver with anticipa...
We're sooo glasd it's in Glasgow this time as it makes it much more likely that we'll make it along. Of course my business schedule has managed to screw me up for the last two so I'm hpoing for 3rd time lucky! But MARCH?! Why so long?
We're coming along. Never been to a munch before and looking forward to it immensely. Hoping to encourage a few friends to come along, too.
