The beaches are all technically clothing optional, so if she wants to keep some bits on she'd be OK. Caleta de Fuste is the least naturist place in Fuerteventura, best avoided.

Costa Calma is very convenient; the best beaches are just south of it. A rental car is needed to get to some of them. Google Sotavento and Mal Nombre for starters.

Fuerteventura has some stunning beaches - the best naturist beaches in Europe. It's relatively subdued compared with Tenerife or Gran Canaria. There's no club scene for swingers or gays. If you're happy just to soak up the sun, it's tremendous.

The very best naturist beach in Europe is Sotavento in Fuerteventura, and you can wander naked from there for about 10km. If you want a naturist beach with a possibility of action, Cap d'Agde is the place to go. Maspalomas in Gran Canaria used to be good but is less so now. Vera Playa has been mentioned and, whilst it's a big naturist beach, the beach itself is very disappointing.

Caleta de Fuste is just about the last place in the world you'd want to go to as a naturist! It's a man-made resort which is popular with the type of Brits who take the view "not in front of my kids" about naturism. Go further south to Costa Calma and the beaches south of Costa Calma are naturist for miles. Fuerteventura isn't a big swinger destination, and there aren't any swinger clubs or bars - go to Gran Canaria instead.

Yes, there's something for everyone in Gran Canaria. Maspalomas/PDI is definitely the best destination for fun in the Canaries.

Vera Playa beach is very much a family affair, and it's rare to see any fun on the beach.

Gran Canaria would be an obvious choice. Get a hotel in Playa del Ingles with a naturist sunbathing terrace, then explore the clubs at night.

I found the beaches in Tenerife very disappointing. It's not the best place to find swinger clubs either.

Charco was dead when we went, a dreadful place.

I went 5 years ago and was very disappointed. The naturist pool area is tiny and overcrowded. The resort is massive, lots of walking involved. The buffet restaurant is mayhem, not helped by loads of screaming kids running around. I wouldn't recommend it!

Yes, only about 7km northeast is Playa Nudista Benalnatura. It's a great little naturist beach, with a beach bar, toilets, and a very committed community who look after it. They also strictly control its naturist status - if you're not nude, you have to leave. I've been a couple of times and found it a welcoming place.

Yes, I think they've made a big mistake there. The big draw on the nude beach was the opportunity to wander in the dunes.

Maspalomas in Gran Canaria offers endless opportunities for all types of trouble-free fun in the dunes behind the beach (plus great clubs for night-time fun).  There are beaches in Fuerteventura which also offer good opportunities - especially Corralejo, south of the big hotels on the beach (but no clubs for continuing the enjoyment at night).

There are many other nude beaches for fun, but I'd say these two are the main contenders.  Another favourite would be Cap d'Agde in France, but it has a very short season.

I use a Philips Bodygroom, rechargeable and waterproof, so can use it in the shower.  Gentle and effective.

 October's getting a bit late for Vera - the beach sunbeds start to disappear and some beach tavernas close.  The hotel also closes for the winter, I think during October.

After Maspalomas and PDI, I reckon Vera Playa might be a bit disappointing!

The ComeBack bar in the Cita Centre is popular for swingers to meet.  There are several swinger clubs in the basement of Cita - it's a dreadfully rundown-looking place but is safe and the clubs are better inside!  There's also the 2x2 club in the basement of the Sandia centre.

The nude beach by kiosk 4 is a good meeting place after about 5pm, and the dunes behind kiosk 4 are wicked all day long.

Maspalomas definitely.  Corralejo has some opportunities for play on the beach in the stone shelters, but it's not a patch on the scene in Maspalomas.  Plus there are swinger clubs and bars in Gran Canaria, but nothing in Fuerteventura.

Canaries will be warmest in October.  If you want swinger play, Gran Canaria is your best bet.  There are 2 swinger resorts, La Mirage and Venus, plus a number of clubs for night-time fun.  And of course there's a big naturist beach and the Maspalomas dunes (where anything goes).

Fuerteventura has nicer beaches, but nothing else.  No clubs, no swinger resorts.

Easygoing bi naturist will be in Corralejo area for first week November.  Happy to meet couples or singles.
