i've had pics from my profile copied and printed out and shown to me along with " a little added extra" :wanker: by someone from this site in the past, i reported it to admin at the time asking why this was allowed to happen and was told there was nothing they could do :gagged:. the most worrying thing at the time was the face that my face wasnt blanked in the pics, as i thought the site was safe  . i do think something should be done to stop this from happening, as not everyone reads the forums and may not know this can happen to them.

admin
I actually had this happen on the admin account. I entered the My Settings area, selected 'Submit' on the location details, logged out of the account, logged back in, and everything was fine.
I have recommended this to a few other users who had similar difficulties but they never did confirm back whether it worked or not confused If it does, it would definitely be worth telling this to all users.
I know that we've still got more work to do to the My Search feature so new bits will be added shortly cool

i tried going into my settings and just clicking submit under my location, the search is working fine for us now without having to log out and back in again too  , thanx admin

I don't think I'd have ever sent our dog out first either - if she'd bitten a person, there would have been a chance that they (the relevant authorities) would destroy her confused

IF you have signs up as i do stating there is a dog on the premises, and someone comes uninvited onto your property e.g a thief, you can not be prosecuted if they get bitten, as they are taking a matters into their own hands by just being there.

but the police can't be there in seconds...instinct would be to send the dog out first,if you had one!

the police took almost an hour to arrive as it wasnt considered an emergency even with 2 children in the house, and mr 04 was out 1st as he caught the theives as he was on his way to work.
No hun we have to agree to disagree on this one. I would never and I repeat never! send my dog out in a time of danger he is part of my family and is treated with love and respect like the rest of us.
anyone who knows me or my dog know that Apollo is treated as one of the family and loved and respected very much. You come across as assuming Apollo isn't, which i find rather insulting.
Besides he is a Husky and they are not known for being good guard dogs as they are just about the friendliest breed I've ever come across. But even if he were a rottweiler I would still not put him at risk. After all you can mend or get back property you can't mend or get back a life.

Fire x
You don't need a large guard dog to protect you or yours, any dog with love for it's family would do it's utmost to protect them. ALL of my dogs have been brought up to be daft as a brush, Apollo being the daftest. My last dog was an alsation X king charles spaniel and if he felt me or my children were threatened by another dog / person he would protect us to the hilt, the lurcher i had before him was afraid of other dogs especialy small dogs, yet he protected me against a pit x staffy when i was pregnant with my son.
What would you rather ...... send out the dog or have to fight someone off to protect your children? I did what was instinctive in the given situation.
Is it me or is it getting a touch warm in here?

:inlove:  :inlove:  :inlove: love you too losty, my likkle howler, you say the sweetest things lol :inlove:  :inlove:  :inlove:
wink But enough of the flattery :lol2:

My advice is to maybe ask the 'sisters of the merciless couldren' to get out the voodoo dolls and start sticking them pins in 22's smile It might not be the greatest of advice granted but I think it best not to rub your nose in stuff when he's pissed off.
I hope you get some satisfaction and if theres anything i can do - but lets face it. It will be pretty little  but i'd do it biggrin

As welshcpl says, maybe people in the area need help in finding their voice and your hubby might want to try that method instead. How about asking neighbours to come to a meeting to discuss whats happened because no doubt there'll be others who have had the same things done could be helpful. Get the MP involved, complain about what's happened and the lack of action from the plods. Everyone is accountable for their behaviour - the twats who do this, the plods who do fuck all...and your hubby for dealing with it the way he has. Maybe the threats are the only language they understand...or maybe it perpetuates the cycle and moves you further away from resolution...

not every one wants to step forward, i have been asked to speak at residents meetings because and i quote " you're a gobby cow and you tell it as it is" lmao but this doesnt always work. most ppl cant be arsed to leave the tv etc and go to a meeting to bitch about local yobs while a council/ housing ass. rep takes notes and does sod all. bring back the days when a policeman could give the idiots a good slap 'round the earhole for playing up :!:
Waiting to be flamed ........

That would be ironic but on SH it's a very real possibility. If you are flamed, or anyone else for that matter, then the flamer is showing no better ability to respond to something than what is being discussed in this whole thread. All say 'aye' if you want SH to be a flame-free zone. AYE!

AYE!!! AYE!!! AYE!!!
