It all started with a text message that I received one Wednesday morning.
“Hi Chris, my name is Karen. We don’t know each other but I have recently been introduced to your lovely wife. Paula gave me your phone number and said that she would be happy for me to call you . Would you be free to meet me for a coffee either today or tomorrow at Starbucks at the top of Burford Hill? I know that Paula is away in Spain for a few days but I am sure she will vouch for me.”
My curiosity got the better of me leading me to reply to the message. “Hi Karen, thanks for the message. I am very intrigued but am happy to meet you. Could we meet tomorrow from 10.30 onwards?”
Karen’s reply was almost immediate. “Tomorrow at 11.00 is perfect for me. So sorry about not telling you more but I am looking forward to seeing you in person, when I will explain everything.”
An hour or so later I messaged Paula. “Karen has messaged me. She claims to know you and we are meeting tomorrow morning. I’m curious as to what this is about”. Paula responded that afternoon. “Nothing to worry about and yes, I have met her. She is lovely and will explain everything to you.”
The following morning, I wandered into Starbucks, having no idea of what Karen looked like, her age or very much at all. Literally, moments later came a voice from behind me. “Hi Chris, I’m the mysterious Karen.” I turned to be greeted by a smartly dressed, not unattractive lady, who at a quick guess I estimated to be in her mid to late 40's. I suggested to Karen that she grab a table whilst I went to the counter to order coffee.
Minutes later, with coffees in front of us, Karen apologised for the subterfuge in her initial approach but went on to tell me quite a story. It transpired that she was married to Marcus, a 43 year old lawyer. They lived close to Cheltenham, had been married for 15 years and were childless. I wondered at this stage what the relevance of this was but that soon became apparent.
Karen explained that the reason behind her knowing Paula was that as Karen put it, Marcus and Paula were having a relationship. Fully expecting Karen to get tearful or angry at this stage, I was immediately relieved when she explained that she was more than happy with the situation and understood from speaking openly to Paula that I was a complete cuckold and would not only voice no objection to Paula and Marcus’s relationship, but would be fully accepting and supportive of their relationship. This, of course, was totally true
It transpired that the physical part of Karen’s and Marcus’s marriage had never been exciting but over the last year or so had withered away to become virtually non-existent. This was, she explained, largely due to her struggling to cope with aging parents and a stressful job. A conversation between Karen and Marcus a few weeks ago had resulted in them agreeing that Marcus would be free to pursue a relationship with another lady. The caveat being that there would be complete honesty and integrity. Karen also stipulated that if Marcus was in agreement, she should meet any partner that Marcus chose once the relationship with the third party had started to bear fruit. Marcus agreed that this was the way forward.
After exploring and often floundering with all the usual adult contact websites to see if he could locate the ideal lady, he settled on looking at two swinger’s sites, Swinging Heaven and Fabswingers. Marcus’s thinking was that if he could find a suitable lady who was happily married and met other guys with her husband’s approval, then that made for a less complicated relationship. Having set the other parameters in place on his own profile, Marcus began his search in detail.
At this point in our conversation, Karen ordered two more coffees, before asking if I was under any time constraints. I said that I had no commitments for the rest of the day and encouraged her to continue.
After a few false starts, Marcus spotted Paula and my joint profile. He liked the fact that our profile was well written, had several recent facial pics and very importantly was local to his home and work. Our profile clearly states that only Paula plays and has total freedom.
To cut a long story short, Marcus sent a detailed message to Paula, which obviously resonated with her as he received a reply within the hour, suggesting a meeting for a coffee at Starbucks. They swapped mobile numbers, just in case one of them was running late or had a change of heart. The meeting was set for the next day at 5.00.
To say that the initial meeting was a success, with the promise of more, was an understatement. The meeting lasted two hours and all the cards were put on the table. Marcus explaining that he was only looking for one special lady and that he was very attracted to Paula, wowed by her beauty, elegance and intelligence.
It was agreed that they would meet again for dinner and when it came to suggesting that Karen and I joined them, Paula said that she would prefer to leave me out of things until such time as she felt ready to bring me into the loop, so to speak.
A week later Paula met for dinner with Karen and Marcus at a restaurant that we had not visited before. I was away for a couple of days, so was not aware of the arrangements in any detail.
Paula was an immediate hit with Karen and the same was true in reverse. The chemistry between Marcus and Paula was plain to see and when Marcus went to the gents, Karen asked Paula was she attracted to Marcus. Without hesitation Paula said, “very much so” and asked was Karen OK with the relationship moving forward. “I couldn’t be more pleased” was Karen’s reply. “You are everything and more that Marcus is looking for and you have my total support”
