when you are in the chatrooms. Select the New Room option and create a room title.
before you do this tho' I would recommend you read the AUP. so you don't get into trouble and you run the room properly.

So let me get this right.
Click on new room/create blah blah
Type in name of room?
Type in password to make it a private room?
Move to new, private room and in the process.........
new room disappears and then room maker is locked out of chat for the obligitory 5 mins

No, you just stay in the room you were in to begin with as you havent left or closed chat. With me?
Once youve created your room, you have so long to get into it... so be quick on ya feet!

The new room will only stay in the list for a few seconds so you have to be quick to get in.
But if you get in just as the room is closing you will get the 5 minute wait.
OR if the room title is one that is not allowed on SH then the room may also close without warning...see the thread on opening chat rooms

I did everything you said and I was quicker than quick! Nothing contravened AUP and at one point actually got into the room and as I entered, it just did a pif paf poof and it was gone!!
Maybe it was those damn gremlins again

It happens a lot, especially when you try to set up a room in server three.
For some reason you often get chucked into one but if one is full, you just get left floating !!
We have found that if you switch ya cam on too soon after entering a new room, you can get chucked for that as well. It`s just one of those things
I should imagine it`s not going to go high on the priorities list of "things to fix"
It was actually server 3....mmmm different server next time then. Thanks for that Flower, you do have your uses

Could we do one that demo's exactly how do get into a new room successfully?
I don't know if that would be possible or not (aup / rules etc).... I'll point admin to this and see what they say?
