Allowing other people on cam (other than the account holder/s) kind of defeats many things.
It must be a difficult enough job monitoring the cams anyway (though I am also sure it has its perks) but to break away from the rational that a single male account should have a single male on cam, a single fem account should have a single fem on cam and… well you can work out the couple one for yourself…. is pretty much like opening a box Pandora would be proud of.
The person/people on the cam should at least have some resemblance to the profile details (if there are any details there)…. Which kind of links to another thread… may be people should have to fill in more details but have the choice not to display them (this would at least help the Op’s by providing some form of reference).
I appreciate that is not an infallible system, but to throw the use of cams open to everyone and anyone to show anything (as long as it has flesh) takes the chatroom one giant step closer to becoming the free to view live porn site, that many already think it is.
This is a swinging site and I do not see how being a member should give anyone the god given right to put other people on their cam for the purpose of a sex show (or for any other purpose I can think of).
Whilst, when a familiar member is asking the question, it is easy to look at the situation with a trust that it will not be abused…. we should not forget that whatever stance is taken for this familiar member, it will also apply to a 1001 dickheads.
Saying that any person on cam must be a member impossible to police. All anyone needs to do is pick a username of someone who has been inactive for a year or so and give that name to the Op – if they are indeed challenged.
Opening these doors will only lead to more account sharing, subletting and further abuse of an already vulnerable system.
