Excuse me, there are some major differences between Ian and me :shock: I have two very large bumps which he does not have, and (I understand) he has a certainly dangly bit that I definatley dont have, so we are definately not the same!

Only 'grump' when your shouting at someone wink

Kents, it is not that we wont help, its more of we cant help. Mods dont have the buttons to do anything in the chatrooms. When we use them, we are just the same as another other member. Also a chatroom Op cant amend posts or help with forum issues. We all have our own parts of the site that we look after - Mods - forums, pics and Ads, Ops - the twenty thousand chatrooms.

Kents, it is not that we wont help, its more of we cant help. Mods dont have the buttons to do anything in the chatrooms. When we use them, we are just the same as another other member. Understand naughty..dont make sense though. No doubt at times you wish you had the power in the chat rooms yourself and visa versa.

I for one am perfectly happy with the system we have at the moment.
Dawnie has both op and mod buttons, and sometimes she can go an hour without even blinking. - Not for me !

its at this point i copy and paste into open room and also post a comment on the end. like well if you had not whispered me uninvited i would have said hi, please go and read the chat room rules especialy on whispering.
there are usualy 3 outcomes to this
1 they leave the room in a great hurry
2 they get even more abusive (to which the room regulars (and others) jump to my defence )
3 they say the didnt realise they were whispering

And this is a prime example of why I hardly ever use chatrooms and certainley never chat in public if I do happen to be in a chatroom. If Im in there its cos Im having a nosey or extremley bored. I find the rooms can be very intimidating to say the least and Ive never found one yet that welcomes new faces. I guess people from chat find the forums very intimidating too rolleyes

Just got to say,……. Thank you!
I have been a member of this site for over a year, and quite regularly look at the forums to see the threads, and check what’s being discussed. Maybe my age, but I despair at how ‘good topics’ very quickly degenerate into puerile comments, go off subject etc etc.
It seems some people are just hell bent on posting for the sake of adding to their post tally, without any concern or thought, if indeed their posting is relevant or worthwhile.
Just got to say,…well done to all contributors, for actually discussing the subject matter, in such a fair and sensible manner. Refreshing change!
